Recently, Kansas SecState And Guv Candidate Kris Kobach proudly welcomed the National Rifle Association’s annual convention after a top Dallas official suggested the gun rights group find a different host city.
Amid a week of tense gun rights debate, local Twitter Star THE FAKE NED YOST asked the question of the day via Twitter:
Would Kansas City welcome the NRA convention or assist Kansas if they got it?
To which the typically convention-loving KCMO Mayor Sly responded:
"I would cast a no vote but I am 1 vote of 13."
And while this terse turnabout isn't surprising, it shows the level of gun disdain from City Hall's honcho and inspires tonight's playlist dedicated to the sordid topic of guns:

My recommendation to the board will be that they avoid in Kansas City all together for the same reasons that sensible people everywhere avoid it- corrupt leadership, overpriced everything, and too much Hoodrat crime. Takes all the fun out of going to a convention when you have to shoot your way in and out of the restaurants and other local attractions. Besides KCK has much better strip bars anyway.

Can't believe some of these posts. When I see "tow the line", that pretty much tells me what your opinion is worth. Regarding conventions, I attended the "Log and timber" show the weekend. Was not planning to go, assuming it was in downtown KC. However, since at the Expo Center up North, attended and enjoyed, even unarmed.
