Kansas City Bishop James Vann Johnston Jr. Offers His Insights On The Aftermath Of The Florida School Shooting

Here's the money line . . .

"As with similar acts of senseless violence which take innocent life, many in the nation are seeking answers and speculating about how to prevent such tragedies from occurring again. Important discussions and debates are focusing on the different factors that figure in to these terrible events. Some point to gun control and/or more prudent law governing ownership of certain types of weapons; others will focus on mental health issues or better law enforcement follow up.

"While these pieces are important, there is another, more fundamental element that deserves attention; namely, what does a culture without God look like? When all reference points to moral truth are removed from the shared public culture, anarchy is the result. The troubled young man who murdered his former classmates could serve as a symbol of that anarchy personified."

  1. I like how the Bishop didn't come down on one side or the other. Nice work.

    1. Actually, he did.

The problem isn't with the guns but the motivations of the people who used them.

It's not going to be solved by shredding the constitution.

    2. But we aren’t shredding the constitution, simpleton. We are enacting sensible gun controls. You’re too late to stop it now conform or be cast out

  3. Shootings happened because people hate others, and have a goal to eliminate and exterminate the objects of their hatred. Face it nobody shoots someone they love. Why do people hate - you know why, they are evil. War and murder are the oldest endeavors in mankind's history. Cane killed Abel. It will never stop. All wars are due to a level of hate. Do you think wars will stop? All you can do is defend yourself and try and stay safe.

  4. There are dozens of other countries less religious than America. They all have access to the same violent movies and play violent video games. They also mentally unstable people too yet don't have the massive gun violence we do. Everything is equal but one thing. What could it be? I wonder?

  5. We will not conform to anything but the Constitution.

  6. They took prayer and patriotism out of the schools and let terrorism in.

  7. 12:44 when you enact the sensible controls the criminals and gang bangers will stick have guns, you fucking fool.

    ReplyDelete
  8. 1:15 nails it! And 12:44, when my house is being broken into will u be there to help? No? Then shut the duck up.

  9. ^^^^Stick have guns? Fucking retard

  10. 1:19 hits the nail on the head. We removed God from our schools and replaced Him with ...what ? If you subtract toxic, media-driven Marxist narratives what's left ?

  11. good comment.

the churches need to get to work in this country.

  12. I guess the Vegas killer geezer was mad about this too. Was that his reason too?

  14. A culture with God brings pedophile priests and organizations that protect those same child rapists.

  15. 1:25,when my family is being attacked, will you be there to help? NO? Then you can Shut The Fuck Up you piece of shit.

  16. Why don’t we quit worrying about which locker room the trannies are going to use and concentrate on how we’re going to keep our schools safe?

    1. The ACLU, who predominantly fronts for libbie-leftist-loony causes, WOULD PUSH FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO OCCUPY PUBLIC SCHOOL TOILET AREAS ALONG WITH VERY YOUNG, UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN.

THAT'S THE MOST FUBAR SICKEST SHIT TO EVEN BE MENTIONED, MUCH LESS EVER AN ACTION SERIOUSLY EVEN CONSIDERED FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE OF OUR CITIZENS.

SO, THE PEEPER, PERV, PEDO WHO IS POSING AS A GENDER-BENDER TO GET ACCESS TO KIDS OR TO ANYONE OF ANY AGE WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE INTIMATE SETTINGS OF SHOWERS, LOCKER ROOMS, TOILET STALL AREAS AT SCHOOLS. AT THE FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAMES, BUTTHEADS WITH BAD INTENTS ARE PERMITTED TO "ACCIDENTALLY" LEAVE THE STALL DOORS OPEN FOR THE LITTLE GIRLS TO SEE THE SICKOS "PEE". AND, NASTIES COULD DO WORSE WITH EASE. DON'T LIE, YA KNOW IT'S COMING TO PLENTY OF PUBLIC POTTIES IF WE LET THE BARRY BATHHOUSE EPIDEMIC TAKE HOLD.

    2. Keep kids safe at school by having individual bathrooms and shower stalls, each with locking doors for clothes changes, etc. Once we allow our "identifying" to determine what sex we "legally declare ourselves to be", then that point of no return is here. It is not going to be just the mild mannered Caitlyn Jenners sharing bathrooms with actual "born" females. The lumberjack, an NFL lineman, or the Pope can be in the next stall of the "girls" rooms, if they want. Remember SNL's "Pat"? Yep. Might as well not put labels on anyone, or try to infer anything about gender. Boy is girl, up is down, day is night.

  17. Darrell Scott, father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine school shooting said this:

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
    Your words are empty air.
    You've stripped away our heritage,
    You've outlawed simple prayer.
    Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
    And precious children die.
    You seek for answers everywhere,
    And ask the question "Why?"
    You regulate restrictive laws,
    Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

  18. We'll send our thoughts and prayers. It's the least we can do, and it's cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 3:32 You have any ?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Nope. "Thoughts and prayers" is a panacea. No action required.

    ReplyDelete
  21. When was prayer in schools? Sure wasn't in the 70's. I'm sure if you wanted to pray nobody would stop you. Shootings don't have a fucking thing to do with not having prayer in school.

    1. You’re probably right. The only prayer in school is during the shooting.

    2. 3:55 Read a little about the Supreme Cory case Engel v. Vitale 1962. That was the definitive case. I do however remember prayer even in the 80’s in school.

  22. What the hell are they teaching in schools to make kids want to shoot classmates?

  23. You are all wrong, we need better education, more focus on critical thinking, not imaginary magic beings in the sky. Highly educated people are rarely violent people unless there is some underlying mental illness. Unfortunately, highly educated people also are too smart to continue to vote for the Corporatocracy, so the chances of change are slim.

  24. 4:25 has a great point.
