MORE REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATIC PARTY POLITICOS DEMAND DISGRACED GUV GREITENS RESIGNATION: WILL HE GO???

Right now there aren't many politicos of any substance rallying to defend embattled Guv Eric Greitens.

His support mostly comes from anonymous online trolls and the far, far right wing of the GOP.

Fact is, the Republican Party credentials of Guv Greitens have always been suspect and he has consistently challenged and bad-mouthed his GOP colleagues.

The problem with an outsider running on good looks and stupid commercials is that there's very little political infrastructure to support an elected official in a time of crisis.

And so, the Guv and his paid shills are firing away and losing a social media battle against much more committed critics as most establishment Missouri Republicans seem content to watch the hot mess from the sidelines and let the shining political star burn out.

Real talk informed by some of the nicer GOP politicos who read this blog for a laugh: Putting Guv Lite Mike Parson in charge is looking like a very good option or at least easier than war with national media over the sordid topic of alleged revenge porn.

We'll wait and see . . . In the meantime, here are some of the best news links on the topic . . .

  1. Plain and simple. He cannot govern. Should've resigned weeks ago and saved himself and everyone else the embarrassment.

  3. Yeah, he's not going to be able to hang on when he has nobody coming to his defense.

The soros stuff is a nice theory but it just sounds like an Alex Jones theory.

  4. Here's the rub: It's not the democrats, that's a joke that everyone is playing on people outside of the loop. This was a straight up Republican hit job. They're getting rid of him because he's putting pressure on some of their corporate pals and taking care of his own friends over theirs. It's a coup d'etat among the Republicans. The dems just don't have the resources or the know how to pull of this kind of professional house cleaning. If they get the blame for it, even better.

Good bye Eric, maybe next time you might want to try learning how to compromise and work with your own party. If you ever had one in the first place.

  5. Gov. Rat-a-tat Rut is just a knock-off Show Me version of Donnie Smallhands. An arrogant, wreckless narcissist personifying the Republican ethos: Power, control, greed. It was the grand jury who charged him, not the prosecutor.

  7. It seems to me that the people that have pasted so far have bought into the crap in the news.

I think you should all quit your jobs because someone who won't name names makes an accusation about you!

Remember in the United States of America our justice system gives the accused the right to a fair trial, the right to face the accuser, and is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.

    Grow up.

Yeah that's within the court system. You can still get dragged online for your alleged misdeeds. Also, there was enough evidence for a grand jury to indict him and for him to be arrested. He is getting his right to a fair trial...it just isn't going his way so far.

  10. The former Guv Jay Nixon did not resign for screwing Brittany Burke while Ferguson burned. They gave her a job in Jackson County. This is just part of the Jeff City soap opera with a democrat county in St. Louis smearing him.

  11. What are all you lame jackoffs going to do if he fights this and wins?

The lady and her old man could be the biggest liars of all.

As Super Dave said and made a good point last night lets see how this plays out in the legal system first. Remember a Grand Jury isn't a guilt admission it's a group of people who decide if there is probable cause for a trial. Also, Grans Juries have been known to be a little onesided.

If the Gov doesn't want to fight it then so be it. Myself I hope he fights it so the truth can be made public here and put an end to rumors about what some think happened.

    2. It's not a deflection. It's part of what we adults call an 'argument'. Faced with a proposition, a counter-proposition can be posed involving evidence.

To dumb it down for you, in other words, Rapey Old Bill is important to the discussion because it hilariously illustrates your double standard and the absurdity of your position.

      Carry on.

  16. So sad, this soap opera distracts from the real biz that's pertinent to Mudzoory constituents. The accusers are gonna be open books by the time Big Guns Guv's attorneys and Magnum P.I.s get through poking around in ALL their biz. Oh well, these highly paid legal beagles and lots of others will kick up commerce and fork over tax revenues due to production of the drama: "Guv Grietens' Shenanigans in the Show Me".

    Ka-ching!

  17. not sure which way to go on this.

on one hand, his whole rise has been a fairytale that could end and nobody would remember a year later, so cut him loose.

on the other hand, it's hard to say he's any worse than the average politician or hollywood type, so why not keep him. moreover, the hypocrisy of the critics is perhaps worth thwarting.

the public is pretty de-sensitized to this.

    Such high comedy!
We watched as Willy and the Witch, Inc. did their crooked cash grabs and threw their robbing banker buds under those prison busses way back to Whitewater, all those Arkicides across the decades, and watching Slick Willy's coattails get rode real close by the ever-expanding pantsuit who couldn't pull off a First Female POTUS!

  26. Surprisingly vitriolic rhetoric in this posting from TKC. Surprised me when I read it, and most things don't surprise me anymore.

As far as I can determine, not much has changed since the original allegation came forth. Greitens admitted to the affair, which happened while he was a private citizen, and before he ran for Governor, and has publicly apologized for the mistake.

Simply because some St. Louis liberal Democrats are colluding to abuse their position, filed a phony indictment against Greitens to which he had to legally respond, all in an attempt to further smear his name and force him from office. And any Republican in the House or Senate who is working with these St. Louis Democrat assholes, or sitting on their hands while the Republican Governor is being attacked, are guilty of dereliction of duty.

DO NOT ALLOW THE RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS FROM ST. LOUIS TO RUIN OUR STATE!

They tried to ruin the Columbia campus of MU.
They called for the assassination of President Trump.
They show up at shopping malls to block traffic, harass consumers, and make outrageous demands.
    They are anti-police.
They refuse to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and national anthem.
They blame everyone else for their personal problems.

  31. Guv Duct Tape is solely responsible for what happened in his family basement (while his wife was pregnant). A grand jury gets to decide if there is enough evidence to indict.
One of the better columns written on the situation is by a reporter (not for the Star as they are a “me too”-op-ed-liberal-Mensa-quality-with-Jemele-leading-the-pack-tokens) in St Louis named Messenger. He sums it up pretty darn good with Politics and snake and clean all used in the same article.
No one can be sure how this will all go down (pardon the pun Guv Duck Tape..spelled it differently did I?), it politics has strange bedfellows and only the smartest will stay away and become part of the peanut gallery.
