Kobach, Colyer Endorse Arming Teachers - The Sentinel
In the past few days, much to the alarm of the local media, both leading candidates for the Republican nomination for governor, Kris Kobach and Jeff Colyer, endorsed the idea of arming school teachers. President Trump pushed the idea into the arena last week, tweeting, "Highly trained, gun adept, teachers/coaches would solve the problem instantly, before police arrive.
Kansas doesn't give a fuck about funding education, but they do give a fuck about worrying about guns and schools? Is there any adult in charge of that state?
ReplyDeleteI know lots of teachers. I would estimate 10% of them are willing to carry a gun. The rest say if forced they will quit. This is Kansas where there is already a shortage of teachers.
ReplyDelete5:08 I agree with the teachers that would carry, I have a few friends that said they would, there might be enough per school that could make this happen. There is probably a large percentage that won’t carry and that’s ok.
ReplyDelete3:52 that’s what you get with a government funded and run school system, maybe all you free loaders could start paying some money to cover the deficits. Your taxes you pay a year wouldn’t pay for an electric bill. Maybe it’s time people start paying monthly payments when their kids are in government, I mean public schools until they graduate
