  1. A police officer doesn't have to sacrifice his life to save your kids from killing themselves. 911 brings an armed warrior to your house. It's best not to call if you aren't prepared for what could happen if your kid attacks.

  2. Yeah those police officers aren’t armed with a blanky and a pacifier.

  3. Why don't the Star ask our political officials why there isn't decent mental health care instead of leaving the dirty work for law enforcement.

Oh I forgot they have to use all that money building shiny new things we really don't need and supporting crappy newspapers.

  7. If this young man was so agitated and suicidal that his family called the police, how did they let him get the car keys and drive out of their garage?
If the police hadn't been there, what might he have done?
This is a terrible tragedy, but I'm not sure the entire issue is with the police.

  8. Instead of stepping back away from the car, shooting the youngster dead was the right thing? The cop should be charged with 2nd degree murder and let the judge decide.

  9. Police work, the only profession where everyone knows more and can do a better job then the cops themselves.

    1. Police work, the only job where you can kill a suicidal child and justify it?
