Light snow continued to fall Monday as crews on both sides of the Kansas and Missouri border worked to clear streets. Already, the focus is on Tuesday's snowfall predicted to be 1-4 inches. "Just a little bit of snow and ice can make driving treacherous," Sgt. Collin Stosberg with Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Independence police are investigating a shooting that happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the 17700 block of 40 Highway. A man was taken to the hospital as a result of the shooting. Police say he suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. There's also no suspect information.
