Law enforcement agencies launch two-week crackdown on teenage seatbelt usage

Breaking News Teenagers are less likely to use seatbelts when they're not around adults, so law enforcement agencies around the Kansas City area are focusing their attention on younger people for their latest traffic enforcement campaign. For the next two weeks state troopers in Kansas and Missouri will be working with local agencies for their High Visibility Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign.

The John V. Mesh Memorial Scholarship is passing on John's love of the outdoors to the next generation

Kansas City Firefighter John Mesh was killed in 2015. He loved his daughters, and the outdoors. His memorial scholarship fund is honoring both. "Grew up in the outdoors," said Jim Mesh, John Mesh's brother, while standing in front of Fire Engine #10, John's Engine, and in Kansas City Missouri Fire Station #10, John's Station.

    foreign countries have required drivers education to get the first license.

    fastening seatbelts be omes a built-in habit if young drivers start out that way.
