Gun Rights activists are decimating Delta for a biz decision that didn't work to keep them out of the gun debate . . . And now Mayor Sly extends an olive branch and desperately needed #BetterKCI promo . . .

KC mayor invites Delta Airlines to bring headquarters here using new KCI as bait

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Mayor Sly James is moving in fast to try and lure Delta Airlines to moving its headquarters to our city. Delta is in the middle of a little bit of a squabble with Republicans in Georgia.

  3. Yep I agree, good move Sly. If you get Delta to move to K.C. you can show them just how violent our city is with gun fire, and the fact that you love violence and illegal guns on the streets. Cutting back on police officers and dispatchers was the way to go and to make sure we have plenty of rolling gun battles!

    Ain't that right Mayor?

  6. Wait for the counter-backlash in which several large conventions abandon KCMO due to Sylvester's liberal political shenanigans.

  7. Delta Air Lines originated as a crop dusting operation in "the delta".
They've had a huge presence at the Atlanta airport and in that city in general.
This latest desperate attempt by a fading local political hack to make believe he has something thoughtful to say about national issues and call attention to the KC region is embarrassing and actually terribly counterproductive.
Another sad opportunity for the entire country to laugh at the clown show at 12th and Oak.

  8. Not going to happen.

  9. Missouri state legislators (Republicans) are just as backward as those on Georgia. Thus, Delta should look for a more forward thinking progressive state.

  16. Whole Lotta Hypocrites2/28/18, 11:31 AM

Elitists (yeah, the liberal/progressive/socialist sort) who support guns being less accessible to the masses--Soros, Clintoons--Obummers--most rich & famous Hollyweirdos--numerous athletes--bankers & their boardroom buds in all kinds of business--and, many ranking gubmint personnel HAVE their well armed security with them everywhere. Big moneyed and "beautiful people" are essentially saying they deserve to protect themselves from baddies with guns.

So, while they're riding on the save our kiddies at schools wave, why aren't they ALL proponents of well trained, ARMED, and adequate numbers of security details like they employ, to be placed in schools?

  18. Since when does the mayor have the authority to unilaterally make decisions regarding which businesses come to KC MO? The correct answer is He don't. I'm guessing Delta or any other major airline is aware of this and probably won't fall for this episode of political grandstanding by an incompetent jackass who couldn't run a lemonade stand.

    1. You’re correct. Delta didn’t get to be a multi billion dollar company by listening to a dumb fucker like Sly James

  20. And did he promise Delta they'd run the slow-moving streetcar up highway 29 to the airport?
