Would Meth Town Prez Harry Truman Hate Prez Trump & Current Political Crop?!?!

Tribute to a former war criminal is closed given the current hot mess stalemate in D.C. - Take a look:

Harry S. Truman Library affected by government shutdown

Because it's the weekend, most government offices and institutions in Kansas City aren't affected by this government shutdown right now, but the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum was closed. The museum posted signs outside and tweeted that they would not open on Saturday.

  2. If Harry were around, we would have bombed North Korea by now. Canines everywhere would be thrilled by that.

  3. Truman was a partisan Democrat never backed away from a fight with the GOP.

Additionally, Truman supported workers & unions, went after war profiteering and corruption, disdained people of wealth and privileged, and eviscerated liars.

Truman specially attacked Joseph McCarthy by saying his red scare tactics (sounds like he was an originator of fake news) were sabotaging the US’s bipartisan foreign policy and thus aiding the Soviet Union.

Safe to say, Russia enabling Trump would have been on Truman's treasonous list.

  5. 12:28, you are so full of crap that it's going to start squirting out your ears. Truman was no supporter of workers and unions. Look up how he handled the 1952 Steelworkers strike. The other items on your list are just as imaginary as that one.

  8. 12:28 is straight-on right about Harry Truman. He once said of Nixon, "Richard Nixon is a no good, lying bastard. He can lie out of both sides of his mouth at the same time, and if he ever caught himself telling the truth, he'd lie just to keep his hand in." Truman would have said the same, times two, for Trump. Your gilded trailer-trash president is in Mueller's sights, and the end is months away, but certain. Enjoy November, clowns.

  9. 8:58 - Truman's handling of both the railroad and steel workers strikes pissed off both owners and unions. His actions were to impose government controls to stop strikes and force mediation and arbitration. (Again - stop strikes, not fire workers. It was not union busting like Reagan.) The reasons were for national security, that the strikes did not disrupt the war effort in Korea.

His responses, even while trying to end strikes, were to preserve good wages. Even during implemented wage and price controls, unions were exempt.

He vetoed Taft-Hartley, with included right to work and other union busting provisions. The GOP Congress passed it over his veto.

Unions supported Truman and vice versa. Truman would not have won in 1948 without union backing. Maybe you should go to the Truman library when it reopens.
