Here Are All The Offensive Things Missouri, Kansas Lawmakers Have Said In The Past Year

Kansas Republican Rep. Steve Alford was swiftly criticized by both sides of the aisle for saying black people are more prone to drug abuse because of their "character makeup" and "genetics," and that's part of the reason why legalizing marijuana in Kansas would not be a good idea.

More importantly . . . The latest Kansas dude who put his foot in his mouth is not forced to quit. Checkit:

  4. How can KCUR even pretend to be unbiased when they make generalized statements that being pro-life or supporting marriage between only a man and woman is politically incorrect?

  5. Hey KCUR, what about all those individuals that said implementing metal detectors in Westport was racist? Doesn't such a statement, claiming that minorities would be disproportionatley impacted by the ban, unfairly assume that minorities are more likely to carry unregistered weapons or be a felon in possession?

  6. I just heard a PSA/ad on the radio saying blacks get more cancer than whites. We'll can they not be predisposed to the "illness" that is drug abuse (in the same manner alkys call it an illness). Either way, where do these politicians come from? I'm all for appeasing your base, but there's something to be said for acting political and not making statements that can be quoted improperly or not.

  9. Why defend stupid politicians. I don't care from which party.

They don't love you. Most of them just use your own stupidity against you for their own personal gain.

But I guess a lot of these comments just want to hop on board whatever gravy train they can find. No principals here, just politics. So have fun before your favorite representative inevitably stabs you in the back.

  10. Since when did the "truth" disqualify you from a committee ? Politicians are totally worthless. He must have gotten bitch slapped back from the grifter trough otherwise he would not be leaving.
