Once again this week we're greeted with YET ANOTHER Downtown Convention Hotel groundbreaking announcement (#4 so far) along with a declaration that Kansas City is "obligated" to subsidize even more luxury condos. And so, 2018 starts with more developers dictating their terms to City Hall with very little resistance from elected officials.
Hoopz Explains Kansas City To Hipsters
Jeneé "Hoopz" Osterheldt has BLOCKED quite a few of our blog community denizens via social media and we respect her (understandable) unwillingness to engage in social media debate during this contentious election season. However, we still consider her writing one of the few (often laughable, contemptible but nevertheless intriguing) highlights of an otherwise fading Kansas City print media institution that's now forced to publicize by way of drink coupons like all the rest of the struggling local media outlets.
It's a strong move to take the local discourse to Kansas City barrooms where so many bad decisions are committed.
