She said she remembers the day well. On a September afternoon in 1956, she started having flu-like symptoms: a fever, bad headache, and her neck hurt.

Three days before Christmas, Patricio Bringas-Rodriguez what he thought was a regularly scheduled immigration appointment. When he got there, he was detained, and deported to Mexico all because of a court error. "I honestly don't know exactly what happened," he said.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Health officials say this season's strand of the flu is more deadly than years past. In the Kansas City area, there has been a big spike in flu cases. Statewide, 108 people died from the flu just last week, according to data from the Missouri Department of Health.

Police in Kansas City are investigating a shooting report. A shooting victim walked into the fire station at 3211 Indiana Ave. around 9 p.m. on Thursday night. Brookside Busted Pipe Aftermath Some Residents STILL Don't Have Water

No water in parts of Brookside after main break at 63rd and Oak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Businesses and homeowners in part of the Brookside neighborhood woke up Thursday morning with little or no water pressure. The Kansas City water department said a 12-inch water main broke near 63rd and Oak overnight. Just before 4 a.m., 41 Action News cameras recorded water gushing out from under the road on Oak Street.
