A reminder that local spending for expensive toys hasn't really had the payoff promised by 12th & Oak - In fact, like many have warned, rampant City Hall spending is pushing this town closer to bankruptcy:
Kansas City's credit card carries a balance of $1.5 billion in debt
Rapidly escalating pension costs and long-term borrowing to fund downtown's renaissance have pushed the city's debt to $1.5 billion.
I'm sure giving away the farm on tax breaks has very little impact on the balance.
