  1. What do you expect them to say? Have to keep justifying the TIFs for even more retail building which will become vacant in a few years.

  3. Not just the TIF's, the CID's, the sales tax kickback to Lane4 for remodelling every retail shopping center!

Hilarious, except it's Grand Theft Retail! These are the biggest con artists in town.

  4. Lane4 Properties = Councilman Scott Taylor's sugar daddy!

Lane4 been very, very good to Taylor.

  5. Lane 4 will be the last to ever admit Amazon is hurting retail sales.

  8. BULLSHIT! Brick and Mortar retail sales have steadily declined over recent years and empty strip malls and big box space has increased three times over in the past five years. General retail and traditional department stores are headed down the shitter. Those who sell groceries, liquor, food, gas, limited hardware and other high demand specialty items have a chance, but in the end you will buy online and have the option of local third party pick up and return locations. Lets not go trying to stuff ten pounds of shit into a five pound bag by tree hugging brick and mortar retail. It will become history in our lifetimes.

  9. There are categories that are fine, and there are categories having a very rough go of it. Doomsday might be too strong, but the winds of change are happening, imagine if half the drug stores go out of business.

Amazon will do that if they can. For retail to get complacent, not a good idea. Now restaurants, whole foods, nail salons, yoga, yes those are fine.

Trying to build with a traditional anchor is a diminishing return.
