12th & Oak and trash pickup are shut down in remembrance of a former slain civil rights leader . . . Meanwhile, bad weather has cancelled some events around the metro . . .
City offices and 311 will be closed tomorrow (Jan. 15) to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Curbside trash and recycling pickup will shift to the holiday schedule, which means your pickup will be one day later than usual.
On the bright side, divisive debate about "The Dream" will distract most clueless plebs whilst rising global income inequality creates an even greater underclass which transcends most demographic prejudices that have always served to keep the working poor fighting over crumbs.

Always a lot of fighting around around holiday but the majority of people understand it's important especially as an alternative to some protest that just seeks to incite people to serve as political canon fodder.
ReplyDeleteHe paved the way for President Oprah!
DeleteDon't look forward to some of the stupid comments.
DeleteFuck MLK.
Delete^^^ Including yours?
ReplyDeleteIs this James Earl Ray day. Really, I don't remember or care. I'm getting old, Geezer hater, bring me my will.
ReplyDeleteJames Earl Ray was a great American
DeleteHappy Black Monday but if MLK Day is in January why is February Black History Month why aren't the two together. The Irish, Italians, Polish etc. etc. don't get months.
ReplyDeleteSo the black people get the day off work? As if they.....
ReplyDeleteMost of them don’t work.
Delete"Go Chicken Go" has free, grease-encrusted chicken strips from 11:02am to 11:04am today.
ReplyDeleteFuck Martin Loofah King.
ReplyDelete6:25 really?
ReplyDeleteJames Earl Ray is a hero
ReplyDelete90% of black people won't notice, they are not getting up for work anyway. If they do get up, it is around noon. I know, I work down there sometimes and it is quiet as a tomb until then.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news is this, if you guys think immigrants are taking Black jobs, you are kidding yourself.
Black jobs? You mean welfare, right?
DeleteBlack jobs? You mean stealing and selling dope?
DeleteIt's lilly white outside.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is. White people are on their way to jobs. Black people are still asleep because they don’t work for a living.
DeleteMLK day should be a day for white people to stay home from work and, for a change, let black people carry the load.
ReplyDeleteWith few exceptions, blacks are in gubmint jobs or subsisting mostly off of tax payer cash.
If nothing else, Car Wash Cleaver should at least, here in this city, teach his bruthas to wash cars and send them to white people's houses to wash and wax vehicles for whitey every MLK day.
Hey, take what you can get!
It is ironic that the Left has to take a break from their #metoo crusade to worship a serial adulterer like MLK Jr. It shows that in their heirarchy of grievance groups, blacks come before women.
ReplyDeleteMLK said to judge a man by the content of his character - not the color of his skin.
ReplyDeleteDemocrat tribal politics and Affirmative Action scams judges SOLELY by color of skin.
Oh by the way, fuck MLK.
ReplyDeleteI fully expect a BLM protest because the snow this morning was white.
ReplyDelete^^^ Of course. Unless its red leaking outa black.
ReplyDeleteMLKKK that's my niggro
ReplyDeleteOh yes, here we are on the federal holiday to honor MLK Jr.
ReplyDeletePresident Ronald Reagan (white guy) signed the holiday into law in 1983, and it was first observed three years later.
After King's death, U.S. Representative John Conyers (a black Democrat from Michigan) and U.S. Senator Edward Brooke (a black Republican from Massachusetts) introduced a bill in Congress to make King's birthday a national holiday. Funny enough, in 2017 Conyers was forced from office after complaints of long-standing sexual harassment surfaced from multiple women who worked with him.
We've come so far in 50 years haven't we?
Rev. Jesse Jackson, an MLK assistant, ran for President in 1984 and 1988, extorted money from corporations for his Rainbow PUSH Coalition, fathered a child out-of-wedlock, had multiple extramarital affairs, his son and daughter-in-law went to prison for stealing campaign funds, etc.
Barack Obama, a biracial foreign born homosexual with virtually no living relatives, was elected President in 2008. He was the invisible man onto whom voters were encouraged to project all their hopes and aspirations. The national media were co-opted and declared him the Second Coming, never mind all that Rev. Wright "God damn America" and Chicago gay sex club stuff.
Right here in KCMO, on it's way to becoming yet another decaying urban center, we've got a black Mayor who loves to raise taxes while taking payoffs from wealthy developers; a black County Executive who's not competent enough to pay his own taxes; and black U.S. Congressman who stole a million dollars from the SBA, suffers from dementia, yet still holds office.
I HAVE A DREAM
12:22---Another sterling example of why some mothers eat their young.
ReplyDelete^Sez the buttboi who sux BBC, 24/7, in his favorite Barry BathHouse.
DeleteIn celebration KC's intellectual giants will kill twice as many of their brothers and sisters this week and the libtards will find an angle to blame it all on Trump..
ReplyDeleteFuck MLK
ReplyDeleteWe need more people from Scandanavian countries
ReplyDeleteJust think, a few unemployed entitled white man spent their whole day hating a man who did far more with his life then they could ever achieve.
ReplyDeleteThe dream is alive.
Time's up!
Maybe. But I didn't get my head blown off at 39 years of age. And he did.
ReplyDeleteSo, his dreamin' days were over a long time ago.
Mine still go on.
Doctor King was a Republican:

TKC Trumpsters are still Republikkklan strong.
ReplyDeleteNot a surprise.
When will the moderate swing voters wake up and stop electing the racists of the Greedy Old Perverts?
When the liberals return to the real world.
ReplyDeleteThe only black I’ve ever known who deserved a national holiday was my grandparent’s maid. She was a hardworking sweetheart and would be appalled by the antics of her race today.
