Celebrate KCMO Hobo Treatment & Remember Prez Reagan Socialized Healthcare!!!

A great bit of service journalism from KCTV5 . . .

FIGHT FOR HEALTHCARE: Where to go if you have no insurance

Now, we understand why they're pushing Truman Med. They have hundreds of millions for indigent care.

However . . .

Let's NEVER forget that President Ronald Reagan Socialized Medicine in the United States when he signed the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.

Quickie overview:

"This law MANDATES that all emergency rooms in all hospitals that take federal money serve anyone who comes to that emergency room, regardless of his or her ability to pay. And it offers no funding to achieve this mandate . . ."

And so, given that nearly all hospitals take Federal funds . . . That means that nice suburban medical centers with emergency facilities are ALSO required to provide treatment.

Just a fun fact to better inform the Uber driver giving a ride to the hospital.

Developing . . .

  1. I had the ambulance take me to Truman when I got shot, even though I have good health insurance. They are way better at it than other hospitals.

  5. 7:37 is correct, it is not socialism. It's full blown communism. Doc must treat a person who cannot pay for the services rendered. Classic case of compelled "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need."
