Starved, beaten and forgotten: Child deaths in Missouri and Illinois expose how predators exploit home school system

In January 2016, someone from the Jerseyville public school district called child protective services concerned that Michael and Georgena Roberts didn't have enough food in their home. Investigators concluded the couple's then 5-year-old son Liam had a medical condition that caused weight loss. Soon after, the Robertses opted to home-school him and two of his siblings.

  3. Where the stats on home abuse vs suicide from bullying? I'd say far and away, the suicide is higher. Abuse is abuse and has nothing to do with homeschooling. That's an outlier, a small section of disturbed people who would abuse children one way or another, homeschool or not. Bullying in schools is almost constant and right out in the open. Administrators don't give a chit, they're more involved in lining their pockets, teachers don't give a chit because they have no power and are constantly badgered by admin and shiitehead parents. The kids are then left to fend for themselves, or even with their parents, against the juggernaught of school administration which treats vics of bullying worse than the bullies. Many times, the simplest and best solution is pull your kid from the garbage school system. Homeschooling isn't a fail other than in the time and effort it takes, and the fact that 90% of your property taxes are still paying for the school system you don't participate in.
