It seems like public radio is attempting to do a service with this sketchy report about the mental health issues confronting a murder suspect. This angle on the story is important given that white men commit more mass shootings than any other group but they always get a pass because of mental health issues as well.
Strangely, maybe the secret sauce here is maybe getting across the message that even head cases are culpable for their actions given that blaming everyone else (and society) doesn't seem to be helping . . . And wishing for "gun control" that's never gonna happen or make a dent on the massive American consumer armory is a bit delusional as well.

ReplyDeleteANYONE who kill another person except in self-defense or the defense of others is Mentally Ill! SO WHAT? Are they "competent"? SURE! They were competent enough to kill, weren't they?
But "you don't understand their background/circumstances/disadvantages"! That sort of horseshit is a direct slap in the face of every decent human being who came from EXACTLY the same background/circumstances/disadvantages, and is has no relevance at all!
Society has to protect itself from this sort of person. Are they "salvageable"? NO!
