1st responder rescue on this not-so-silent night of continued local drama. Take a look:
2 suffer life-threatening injuries in fire in the 6600 block of The Paseo
Two people suffered life-threatening injuries following a house fire near 66th and Paseo. There were no working smoke detectors inside the home. Firefighters on scene say a fire station two to three minutes from the home may have saved their lives. The victims include one male and one female.
There is no excuse for not having working smoke detectors. Every fire station gives them away FREE. Hope the victims are OK, though.

DeleteAnother fire, another article that concludes "cause unknown" or "accidental" or "under investigation". How about a root cause follow up for once?
