A win is a win but this victory for the Kansas City Chiefs was more of a gift than a hard fought contest.
Credit where it's due, national anthem protester Marcus Peters forced a critical takeaway which shifted momentum toward Kansas City. However, red zone ineffectiveness along with continued O-Line difficulty should concern supporters of the team going into the far more competitive playoffs.
The Chief beat the spread but they didn't dazzle against a mediocre Miami squad that has now been all but eliminated from post-season play. No, this wasn't reminiscent to the great of THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS FOOTBALL GAME EVERY PLAYED . . . But more of glimpse at how the league has gone corporate.

You decide . . .
win is a win. Next up, payback against Denver.
ReplyDeletePeters staying in the locker room is more appropriate and something I respect more than sitting down or taking a knee. If he doesn't want to rise for the national anthem, he shouldn't have to THAT is his choice as an American.
Delete^^^^^^^just had to mention that POS
ReplyDeleteI judge Peters by what he does ON THE FIELD. His takeaway was critical and a big part of the today's win.
ReplyDeleteKC is back on the right track, division winners and ready to compete with the best of them. Denver should watch out.
GO CHIEFS!
Will admit the team looks better than it did last year. That might be enough to get pretty far is the overall weak AFC.
ReplyDeleteWeez a big city where Football closes down the town.
