  1. We don't love them either. We root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

  2. Go where the money is, you cant fault a guy for taking all the money he can get. Everybody here would do it, I would. The chance to retire in comfort is what we all want, most of us will barely get by in retirement and will probably have to get a part time job when we do. so I’m not mad at any of them

  4. Hosmer's agent is screwing him over. He should be getting a 10 year. It may be less per year, but a larger total and more guaranteed money. Something like 10 years for $175 million.

He won't be able to ask for $20+ million a year when he's 36.

  5. ^^^Bro, you you even know anything about sports? Nobody, I mean nobody gives out ten year contracts. He's not even worth 20 Mil a year, that's why there is only ONE team dumb enough to offer that, and they are a complete joke.

  6. ^^^Sis, I think jock straps are the only thing you know about sports.

Nobody gets ten year contracts? Nobody except Giancarlo Stanton, Alex Rodriguez (had TWO 10 years deals), Robinson Cano, Albert Pujols, Joey Votto, Derek Jeter, Troy Tulowitzki, and Todd Helton.

Hosmer is only 28, and unlike Prince Fielder (9 year deal) or Miguel Cabrera (8 year deal), is not overweight or injury prone. He should be asking for a lifetime deal of 10 to 12 years. Boros was originally seeking 10 years for $200 million.

Perennial all-star players routinely make $20 million. Hosmer fits that standard.

I wouldn't pay him that. I don't think the Royals should resign him, even at a discount. I think he's incredibly overrated, especially on defense. He grounds out to second way too much and and his big leg kick swing is atrocious. However, his agent just needs to find one sucker; and he should be asking for longest years, not biggest annual salary. That's my point.

    Understand?
