Talker Johnny Dare Helps The Most Pathetic Kansas City Working-Poor Hard Rock Fans!!!

We've mocked this effort annually and it's not our fault Kansas City's greatest DJ of 1998 ripped off the Queen For A Day format and then added a really horrible soundtrack.

To be fair, this is a mostly likable low-rent charity event wherein locals drop their skepticism and offer their assistance to local po'folk with the most entertaining and emotional hard luck story for the amusement of all the rest of us on our way to and from service industry jobs and about one paycheck away from disaster.

Hope for the Holidays

For 21 years, listeners of the Johnny Dare Morning Show have given a hand up to fellow listeners in need. Hope For The Holidays is here to help people that may have had a run of bad luck, lost a job, or suffered an illness that has put them in a tight spot.

  1. Johnny got his start by recording the mark Mancow Muller show then doing the same show the next day he's so lame he should be sued for plagiarism for stealing another man's Morning Show he's a fake and a fraud

    1. I listen to Johnny Dare every day he is new. He is the best of Kansas City and the middle of the country.

  3. ^^Is your car too old for satellite radio, or are you too broke? NOBODY listens to terrestrial radio. NOBODY

  5. I always tune out during hope for the Holidays. I don't cast aspersions on the program, and think JD is genuine in his desire to help. A little birdie told me he does far more off the air. That being said, I can't listen during that time simply from the depressive-ness of it all; as I go to a job I hate to try to make enough to survive, knowing that it takes a slight downturn in the economy to put me deep in the poor house.

  6. Wait a second.

You mean to tell me that in 2017 there are still some of you rubes out there listening to terrestrial radio wacky morning zoo shows?

  7. I was a Johnny Dare listener until his show became flaming liberal. Stay out of politics Johnny. Chances are you will piss off 50% of your listeners no matter which way you lean.

    1. And so much of what he says about politics is factual wrong.

  8. It might be lame sometimes but I'm glad he helps out his listeners.

  9. You guys seriously dog him for helping people? Some of you are serious pieces of shit. Probably go to church and consider yourselves good Christians too.

    1. Yes let's not be cynical to the man who encouraged his partner to shove a Roman Candle up his ass and light it on fire for fun. Hahaha he's so original and funny how about all the sexual innuendos toward women he does on his show he's a lowlife piece of shit and there's a reason why he lives by the landfill because that's where his guest and most of his material comes from

  10. It's so sad that you people aspire to be cynical ass holes instead of respecting a person who tries to do something positive in his community. I don't listen to his show but I can still have some respect for a guy that tries to help people in need.
