Hate crimes rose in 2016, declined in Missouri
The number of hate crimes reported in the United States rose for the second year in a row, according to an FBI report released on Monday. Law-enforcement agencies reported more than 6,100 hate crimes in 2016, about a 5 percent increase from the previous year.

The reporter who wrote the story about hate crimes is far more interested in making excuses why there are so few reported than in telling us about the results. You can tell how much the reporter hates the story by the number of times he uses the old "some say" ruse, or cites an expert who just happens to agree with him, to cast doubt on the numbers. Propaganda journalism at its most obvious.
