  4. I hope Raytown understands that by doing this they are going to have an increase in crime, people and business's moving out, which means taxes going down due to lower property values. Things are just going to get progressively worse and that means even less money for the city.

Seems to me they would find it in their budget to keep their police officers, even add more to bring that town back up again so more people and business would move there.

  5. people are going to learn that despite intentional work slowdowns by government workers in protest, cutting an 'essential' government service by 33% will not result in much change except more change in their pocket.

When it comes down to it Raytown is a small community of maybe 50k people with one major road that should be patrolled by the Mo Highway Patrol (Mo 350) rather than the local cops.

  6. A special thanks to the Alderman.

As a Raytown resident, I will hold them responsible if any member of my family is a victim of a crime.

  8. The new city sign should say,

Welcome to Raytown, where crime isn't dealt with and we make sure there are even less police officers to do so.

  11. Once Upon a Time Ray town was a relatively little crime-free island surrounded by Kansas City Missouri. I know because I helped make it that way. Kind of a shame for the people who still live there. Hopefully they can all find some place else to go ASAP.
