KANSAS CITY SINGLE-TERMINAL NEW AIRPORT WINS HEARTS AND MINDS OF MIDWEST MURDER CAPITAL VOTERS!!!

Just like we said from the beginning . . . With no organized opposition the airport vote proved to be a sweet cakewalk for Mayor Sly James and the Kansas City corporate oligarchy who pull his strings.

Two wit . . .

THE KANSAS CITY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA STAYS WINNING AND A NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT IS THIS TOWN'S PRIORITY IN THE MIDST OF MURDER SPIKE 2017!!!

The KCMO tale of two cities continues as the convenience of middle-class travelers takes precedence over rising crime and deadly urban core warfare . . .

  1. This was the best outcome. Kansas City needed a clear choice to move toward bankruptcy.

  5. They pay that now 10:34 but remember it was the residents of Kansas City that voted to pass this deal. But if you add up all the special interest groups who wanted this to pass, they alone made a huge part of the total voters that passed this.

That and the ones who like staring at shiny things totally oblivious to just how much it's really going to cost them in the end.

I have a lot of friends in Kansas City who actually do vote and didn't want this because they knew in the end it is nothing but another lie that is going to cost them and hurt them financially in several ways and probably pondering tonight if they will go ahead as some said and try to sell out and move else where asap.

  8. Quote according to CFRGKC:

"We learned last night the latest poll being floated around City Hall shows the YES VOTE at 55% (down from 58% earlier in the week) The NO VOTE is at 45% (up from 42% earlier in the week). We are headed in the right direction and need to close the gap. How can we do that? We need to hustle!"

Wow, so CFRG dreamed up their poll numbers too apparently.

  9. This is a milestone for Kansas City. We are finally pushing our momentum forward and choosing to be bold. KC loves transit, we love showing the world how great we are and this new airport will be our front door. A great night for KC, we did the right thing! Now we are ready to GO!

    1. Go4KC,
Truly one of the dumbest responses possible and makes you seem like a citified hillbilly. “KC loves transit...”. Yes, nothing like the free trolley car that hauls those sophisticated tourists from Grain Valley and Tonganoxie from Crown Center to the River Market. Talk about the 8th wonder of the modern world. And “we love showing the world how great we are.” So true. I’m sure half the globe was staying awake with bated breath to find out if a new KCI was on the way. After all, it will be helpful when you and pals start bidding for the Olympic Games here in the new mecca of the WORLD.

Vote was obviously rigged. Just like the go bond vote. There isn't anyone minding the store in Kansas City. If you were a real man you'd talk your trash with a name but you're just a sleazy political bum. You just made KC a little worse today.

    Contractors NOT getting paid millions

    Shabby Quality materials and workmanship

NOT enough gates to serve passengers

    Security problems plague Airport

Flight Delay problems plague New Airport

    Parking problems at New Airport

  17. While voters clearly wanted to do something to improve the airport, this is not an endorsement of the current plan.

I doubt anyone really wants a smaller airport with fewer gates, but that's the proposed plan.

I serious doubt anyone trusts the airlines to design and endorse an airport that is convenient to their customers. Their business model has proven to screw over and piss off customers in every way imaginable. They only want to cut the TSA numbers to lower costs.

There needs to be serious review and modifications of the proposed concepts and designs. We must not allow a bungled process to continue that will end up delivering a crappy airport that we are stuck with for the next 50 years.

    Future headlines:
    1. Water bills $700 a month. Residents bathe in Perrier.
    2. Nursing homes become cheap haven for KC residents.
    3. Trash collections accidentally haul City Hall leaders to landfill.
    4. Plaza Tennis Courts sold by City Hall- piss of Parks & Rec so much that They succeed from City only to realize they have no more paychecks.
    5. Money earned from sale of Plaza Tennis Courts goes to help prop up KC Star. No bias aleged anywhere. Star let’s City Hall pick it’s political views and candidates for next 25 years.
    6. Star goes insolvent in 2020.
    7. Star former editorial board applies for 3rd grade writing contest and wins honorable mention only to find they thought they were writing

  20. me...I simply read the "comments"...entertaining and sometimes...informative...folks in Jackson County Missouri/Kansas City will vote for anything, anytime...I don't fly any longer so I will not be a "user of it" but it will be interesting and somewhat entertaining to see the new aerodome "mushroom" out of the ground at the price of truffles...Kansas City voters have yet to surprise me since Ilus Davis "sold" the e-tax to voters back in the 60's...look what is now your half per cent, now one per cent has provided....800M, 1B....what could you possible spend 1trillion on...time will tell...

  21. Just another in a long line of stupid decisions by KC voters. The only winners are Slys contractor cronies. The second the airport starts to lose a single nickel the taxpayers will be forced to keep it afloat, despite all the promises. All it takes is another spike in crude oil prices. What good is a shiny new airport/train/Sprint Center when I can’t even walk around my own neighborhood without having to worry about a serial killer, or in general any other worthless sack of shit allowed to flourish in this dump of a city. I won’t even get into the school systems. Been all over this country, and KC will NEVER be another NYC or Chicago. Too bad the idiots running things don’t realize that is a good thing.

  22. Congrats KC, you'll now be able to enjoy a Big Mac or Cinnabon whilst enjoying your extended wait times for flights out of MCI.

But at least you'll be able to enjoy that same Big City Travel Experience as your enlightened FB friends on the coasts.

Within a decade of completion, there will be a City Hall/Star call for new trillion dollar spaceport to meet hyper-loop needs of next century.

  42. There is a bright spot of irony in this, the ones who are going to suffer the most from the reductions in convenience, increases in costs and reduced capacity (and therefore reduction in number of flights) are the ones who pushed the hardest for this disaster.

  43. Well, we tried and utterly failed to impart any wisdom to the corrupted progressive and millennial minds who were inevitably bought by the 1.5 mil campaign to vote yes for the largest, most corrupt, construction project in Kansas City history. It's really unfortunate that the progessive millennial mind can't comprehend that debt must be paid; that's a basic fact of life. These are the kids that went through college racking up $100,000s in debt for a humanities degree and whom now may aspire to make it to some mid-level management position and be in debt for the rest of their lives. The new aeroporte is the same thing. That 1.3 billion isn't just going to magically disappear; we will be paying for it in the end.

I predict 5-10 years down the road, TKC is going to filled with "I told you so" articles.

    ReplyDelete
  44. ^^Nope. wrong on all counts. The good news...all you bitching and complaining geezers will never live to see it. Hell, you were never going to use it anyway! Guess what we will still be here. Everything is update in KC baby!!!!!!

  45. Ah, "Geezer Licker" has been heard from!
Still haven't found another older man to support you, have you Poofty?

Well, guess we all have to wait and see who was right, won't we?
Funniest outcome will be if Edgemoor hires James and Justice, borrows a couple of Billion, then pulls a Trump, declares bankruptcy, disappears and leaves KC holding the bag with nothing to show for the big hit taken to its Credit Rating! Tragic, but funny as hell!

  46. Hey we got a shiny new airport!

Let's hope it will fix the following:

-A murder rate that exceeds Compton,CA!
    -An unaccreditated school district
-911 hold times exceeding 30 minutes where you can die waiting for them to pick up!
-A jail that has locks that DO NOT lock resulting in rapes and beatings
-Making the Top 5 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in the country list! Good job Independence and Prospect!
-#10 on the Top 25 Most Dangerous Cities in America!
-The FBI said last year we were one of the 7 cities responsible for a national rise in violent crime!
    - We are at 123 murders for the year to date. 31 more to go and we can surpass the record set in 1993!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ummmm... @ 9:28 everything may have been "Up to date in Kansas City", but the next line of that song is "They've gone about as far as they can go,", and it was written in 1943.

Accurate prognostication in music is rare, but sometimes they get it right.

  48. ^^^^Jesus, were you alive then geezer?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yep, alive then and alive now, Poofty!
Got your faggoty little ass riled up more than the six Mexicans you pulled a train for last night managed to, didn't I?

You see, folks, "Geezer Licker" hates old folks because the senile old fart he was keeping house for (and blowing once a week) kicked his ass out on the street for stealing!

What he doesn't realize is the "Geezers" are the ones who made it!
They have lived long enough to achieve "Geezerdom" by surviving all the bullshit, horseshit, and generalshit that Life throws at each one of us on a daily basis.

Whereas clowns like "Geezer Licker" just ain't able to cut it, and are doomed to fall by the wayside, unremembered. unnoticed, and unlamented.

Sigh, too bad Poofty, but Karma can be a Bitch sometimes.

  50. I used to think Geezer Hater was just a douche nozzle (well, actually I still do), but it’s also apparent that, like Byron, he lives to get reactions, so please don’t take the bait. Maybe he’ll choke on a tranny dong sometime soon and ride that big Hershey Highway into the sunset.
