Kansas City Faith Blogging Question Of The Day: Can You List The Ten Commandments???

TKC always gets a bit fuzzy after naming off Dasher and Dancer. . . But do your best in this Old Testament quiz session where the prize is either nothing but a hole in the ground OR a superiority dance at the right hand of Zeus in Asgard or whatever your favorite fairy tale entails. Read more:

When the Ten Commandments are trashed: 11-4/5-17

The Ten Commandments have held a central place in both Judaism and Christianity for a long time. Appropriately so. In effect, they were a gift of grace from God so people would know not only what was expected of them...

They are for Jews. Gentiles only need obey the seven laws of Noah (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Laws_of_Noah). If one believes Bronze Age scripture written by primitives who did not know where the sun goes at night. actually, they are good ethics, except for the one god bullshit. No place for them on public property.

  3. Billy is an expert at bearing "False Witness".

The truth is, without existential introspection we are left with a Dualistic paradigm. This in turn provides only Pascal's Gambit as the best hope for maintaining the Social Contract and a the Rule of Law.

Again, Billy is a politician, not a theologian.

  4. Holy cow, Byron sure breaks a lot of those commandments

  5. Chuck is there some website you use that generates comments that make no sense whatsoever? If so could you post the link?

I realize the codependency of reciprocity is nearly excessive in its economics, but your foresight of dual-sidedness is in reality quite open-minded in its mobility.

I obviously don't know you, but, I am guessing, that your lack of eclectic erudition, in combination with genetic deficiencies render you myopic, smug and unavailable to nuance.

Your search on the interwebbs for a website that generates your second sentence, is prima facie evidence of your inadequacies.

    Best wishes.

    I like fucking goats.

  8. Hell, the religious nuts can't even name the ten commandments, let alone live buy them. They would rather argue about shit like whether wine was wine or grape juice, submersion or sprinkling, whether dancing should be banned for giving you an erection and making you believe that giving your money to a church is somehow the same as giving it to God.

  9. "eclectic erudition"

Garrulous and redundant chuck strikes again. Is there such a thing as "specific erudition"?

It's great that you have a large vocabulary, chuck, but it appears you don't know how to use it.

Moses "stole" the Ten Commandments from the Egyptian Book of the Dead.

7:39 is bearing false witness while hiding behind cowardly anonymity.

    Typical Christian Hypocrite.

  15. 10:46 Eclectic and Erudition, are NOT synonyms and are not redundant.

    Moron.

  16. Erudite: 1: characterized by great knowledge; learned or scholarly: Synonyms: educated, knowledgeable; wise, sapient.

"Eclectic erudtion" is redundant, or at the very least, superfluous. Again, is there such a thing as "specific erudition"?

Chuck's attempts at erudition are clumsy.
