KANSAS CITY COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA LIGHTING 2017: TKC HOT MESS GUIDE!!!

We're gearing up to celebrate one of the lamest local traditions of the year and here's a few pointers for noobs and fellow news watchers.

Checkit:

NO PLACE TO PARK ON THE PLAZA!!!

The Country Club parking crisis might not be fixed by the upcoming streetcar extension that still faces a public vote opposition AND the GOP & Prez Trump discouraging Tiger grant handouts.

THERE ARE NOT 1 MILLION PEOPLE ATTENDING THE PLAZA LIGHTING NO MATTER HOW BIG THE CROWD LOOKS!!!

Long ago I worked on another lame local blog that has since went dark because of lame old school content that constantly lamented Kansas City crowd size - The trust fund baby in charge made "fact checking" this common pronouncement by TV newsies an integral part of his "journalism" career . . . Which ultimately ended with blogging as all newspaper careers do.

UNREPORTED PROTEST AND CRIME STILL CONFRONTS PLAZA DENIZENS!!!

Constant crime and social justice push back is a fact of life for this party district which MSM keeps quiet in order to make their offerings more advertiser friendly. Nevertheless . . . There are criminals, FLASHERS and some guy walking around with a sword which doesn't earn coverage to preserve the illusion of Kansas City good life safety.

Still, tonight the crowds will be slightly bigger because of the nice weather and we hope this quick guide offers a nice preview for the festivities as everyone continues to have a safe and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

  1. See, I would have went with the fact that this place is racist because it's created by old timey racist J.C. Nichols.

He invented the first out door shopping mall in the nation along with his racial covenants that he pioneered. So I guess if people really cared about fighting racism they would stay away from the event, right?

    1. I remember that old blog, I also remember the newspaper. They were great when there was no facebook. Good times! Thank you for the trip down memory lane TKC.

    2. Parking isn't so bad on the Plaza. But navigating around all housewives and their SUVs is a bitch.

    3. I can’t tell you how many Joco housewives I’ve fucked in the back of their SUVs. A lot.

  2. Flipping on a light switch is not entertainment Kansas City.

    Sorry.

    1. Especially when it’s being done by Chiefs players. Disgusting. Obviously scraping the bottom of the “hometown celebrity “ barrel.

  3. Tiger grants? Tony, you are a fucking LIBERAL!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Is Mayor Slick J' gunna be there?

    ReplyDelete
  5. La dee fuckin' da. The police estimates on crowd size will be almost more overblown than the way Trump overestimates his. It'll be HUUUUUUUUUUGE.

    ReplyDelete
  6. ^^^. At least they can't overestimate it as much as you do the size of your shriveled limp dick.

    1. Is that you Geezer Hater? Pissed at older folks because Uncle George took a cruise up your Hershey Highway after dinner?

    2. Not at all. Geezer Hater likes getting fucked up the ass

  7. What parking problem? Park at 3rd and Grand and take MAX. That’s what I’m doing as we speak and no parking hassles.

Gotta think people. And when I go to the Chiefs game on Sunday, take #47 from downtown to Arrowhead and back, instead of paying $60 to park.

    1. It speaks volumes if tonight’s “million” spectators include the traffic light programmer for St. Joe. Maybe Topeka’s dog catcher will be there too!

    2. Whom everyone loves and respects, including you.

      Delete
    3. Of course we respect you, Joey. Anyone that can overcome the handicap of having a Mizzou degree and land a minimum wage civil servant position with the state government is worthy of respect.

  8. Warm weather means the thugs and killers will be out and about tonight. Leave your money and valuables at home tonight so you can't be robbed of them. And if you must go be sure and have your gun loaded and on you.

    1. I don’t have to worry about that. Everyone loves and respects me for being a highly educated Mizzou grad with MoDOT. The only people who aren’t smart enough to understand that are people like you Dave.

Now go write your state rep and lobby for a nice big fat pay raise for me. After all I deserve it.

    2. Are you mentally challenged, at least to some degree?

      Delete
    3. Joey, lots of us lobby for a pay raise for you all the time. Every time the subject of raising minimum wage comes up.

Now here is a true fact for your funky ass my grandmother was Jewish she was a great woman while I am a practicing Catholic I still felt a degree of anger and quite a bit of rage directed The Way of JC Nichols when I learned that she was denied housing way back in the years past. And so I found the grave of Mr. JC Nichols recently and I took a gigantic piss all over it. He may he rest in peace but he is also resting in my piss. Sooio screw you Jć and don't come back. That's right!

  10. I like that dig at Herne "Hanging from the rafters" Christopher.

  11. "... one of the lamest local traditions of the year..."

Probably the best line ever written on this (lame) blog.

  12. So I've lived in KC area quite a while. Can someone explain to me the thrill of going though all this shit waiting for some local yokel to turn on Christmas lights that we can all see every night for weeks? I don't get it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I went to the lighting ceremony. Once. All I saw were people's backs and heads. Fighting our way through the crowd to the parking lot was a whole lot of fun. Not. Never have to do that again.

    ReplyDelete
  14. It was GREAT.

    No blacks or panhandlers around.

Jeez Botello do the city a fucking favor and blow your fucking brains out. Or lay down on the streetcar tracks. Or befriend "Jack the Ripper."

But end your life already you miserable piece of shit.

  15. Nice event but lot's of demons around.

    ReplyDelete
  16. ARRRRGGHHH!!
Tony makes me so mad I just can not stay away!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Is that bum still hanging around outside Barnes and Nobel?

    ReplyDelete

  18. 6:05 What does staying away from the Plaza have to do with racism? I can't believe you are hanging on to something that happened years ago and is not the same today. Are you really that stupid. Nichols is dead, the Plaza has had numerous owners since it was built. Did you not know about the civil rights movement, was that not good enough for you??

Racism is world wide and will never go away or haven't you noticed. Your post is really sad and makes no sense. In case you didn't notice the entire country was racist, where are you going to go now.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thank you 6:05 for presenting the boon's rationalization for shoplifting in every mall in America.

    ReplyDelete
  20. According to city hall 31-million people attended the lighting ceremony last nigh.
