Parks board hits pause on Shawnee Mission Park observation tower project

Plans to rebuild the Observation Tower at Shawnee Mission Park have been scrapped - at least for now. 1. Just be ready to have cops watching your every move. That was one of the dumbest arrangements ever conceptualized. As if owners of million-dollar homes and very high end apartments are going to want the great unwashed frolicking in their park setting.
