The KCMO Football Lament

Making the case for and against starting Patrick Mahomes

After losing to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, for Kansas City's fifth loss in their last six tries, the talk leaving the Arrowhead stands, driving out of the Truman Sports Complex and at the water cooler Monday morning will not be focused on the offensive line play, lack of pass rush or play calling.

  1. Most fans are loyal to a point- We all have only so many minutes and hours in our life. Why spend them watching bad football? Lots of fans left as they knew Reid had not a clue what to do. So many open receivers that Alex Smith missed.
As people watch ticket prices collapse and Chiefs paraphanelia go on the cheap on local Facebook- watch as they won’t return as the “take-a-knee” Marcus Peters and company become irrrelevant.
Everyone likes a winner. Peters can be finger-pointed as the catalyst that got the Chiefs rolling down a slippery slope with fans... hope they cut him in the offseason.
When the Chiefs raise parking prices next year and beer costs $20- ask yourself if it’s worth lining the pockets of pretenders as they deliver fools gold.

  2. Just keep buying the jerseys and tickets you buffoons.

"Stay in yo lane" as the wise thinker LaVar Bell might grunt.

  3. Throw the kid out there and watch him get killed. With that pathetic offensive line he won’t last long

  4. I might attend if chiefs would hire colen krapernick, johnnie manziel, and michael bitch sam.

  5. All things matter... and have contributed to the downslide of the Kansas City Chiefs in the last six weeks.

    Marcus Peters's disrespectful behavior.

    Coach Reid's delusional play calling.

Owner Clark Hunt's lack of enforcement of players ALL standing for the National Anthem.

    Attitude is latitude.

    1. 7:25 the Dallas Cowboys are 5 wins and 6 losses with Jerry Jones forcing his players to stand for the National Anthem. So, your "attitude is latitude" is wrong.

  6. Nah. Sorry geezers. Your made-up anthem protest excuses are not the reason for anything. Hate to break it you cause you seem really pathetic, but nobody cares! I'll say it again cause a lot of you geezers are slow on the uptake. NOBODY CARES!!! Nobody cares who protests. If you say you do, you're a liar, and you never watched anyway. The fact that you use that feeble crutch to post on EVERY blog post about football proves this point. Go away geezers. Go watch Matlock or Murder She Wrote. It's more your speed anyway!

    1. 500 mil in losses, ratings down 20%, a mad scramble around the protests, and stadiums so empty so often that even ESPN has to admit something is wrong.

Not you of course. You know better. Keep sniffing those jockstraps, geezer hater!

Oh, and Andy Griffith said your girlfriend's twat smells like goat cheese.

  7. Starts up front. No run game, very little time to throw. Pin this loss squarely on the line, nuff said.

  8. You're wasting your time, 8:11. No sane person would trust your judgment over geezer judgment. Now go play somewhere else until it's time to flip those burgers.

  9. I pity the fool....

who spends their time and dollars following a game played by wealthy mercenary athletes working for a super-wealthy non-resident owner who relies upon public tax subsidies to fleece residents, when you could be strengthening your own body, mind, finances, and family.

  10. I pity the fool..who comments on how other people should spend their money & time. There is nothing worse than blowhard busybody. You could be curing cancer, feeding the hungry, or working on your fundamental shortcomings as a human being, but you're not. You're here loser.

  11. I pity the fool......named Geezer Hater, who thinks anyone gives a shit that he doesn't agree with what someone has posted.

  12. I pity the fool...who gets knocked the fuck out in the comments section and thinks his sad & increasingly desperate replies mask the fact that we all know you got knocked the fuck out!!!!

  13. I pity the fool Geezer Hater 2:34, who keeps thinking that he can fool anyone by praising his own posts. Pathetic.

  14. Won't watch anymore until Marcus Peters gets traded or learns how to tackle!!! Lord knows he doesn't have to wash his uniform but once a month; it doesn't get dirty!
