FAKE NEWS TOUTS 25 MILLION KANSAS CITY TOURISTS ANNUALLY AT UNDERFUNDED MAYOR'S CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING!!!

Mayor Sly seemed in good spirits among happy holiday revelers this evening.

However . . .

ONCE AGAIN KANSAS CITY POLITICOS TOUTED THE FAKE NEWS 25 MILLION ANNUAL TOURIST FIGURE TO A CROWD THAT WAS TOO HAPPY TO FACT CHECK!!!

This number is a running joke to anyone who pays attention but remains a talking point that politicos tell local voters who will believe anything.

What's worse is that the occasion was supposed to encourage more donations to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund which is running low amid increased demand.

A lot of people don't know this fund isn't connected with any political office and it provides assistance to seniors and the local disadvantaged who wouldn't receive help otherwise.

Sadly, charity was the last thing on the minds of party people this evening as political rhetoric and promotion dominated another local tradition.

  1. I'm guessing that they didn't pull the 25 million figure out of thin air. I have no doubt that it's a bogus number, but how did they arrive at it? Maybe some actual journalist, if there are any left, will ask that obvious question.

  2. slies an idiot, he’s been falsifying numbers his whole time in office, six and a half years of lies and you snowflakes threw a fit when the Donald said he had more people at his inauguration then Barry the bitch

  3. I really don't care how many people they claim attended the ceremony. What I do care about is HOW much money they collect and WHERE is it spent? Accounting, please.

  4. I have not donated to this fund since Jerry died.

He kept people in the loop with good accounting and transparency. He stressed the importance of the charitable role rather than the publicity for local celebrities. He is still missed, we need someone like him to give this fund new life.

  5. They count commuters from Kansas. Seriously. By comparison, Paris has 19. If one adds every attraction and sports franchise attendance and pretends none of them are locals it’s still less than half. Media here is still a joke.
