The Trump administration's rule allowing employers to opt out of birth control coverage would affect a few companies in the Kansas City area. The administration estimated that the change would affect 120,000 women, who would spend an estimated $70.1 million on contraceptive coverage, based on the roughly 200 employers that previously had filed complaints against the government for contraception coverage requirements.
