An important bit of community journalism reminds us that Mayor Sly might talk about buying local but his actions are sending cash flying out Kansas City's political community in favor of his longtime campaign cronies.

Northeast News: Follow the Money – right out of town

Money line . . .

"There wasn’t one single locally-owned and operated campaign consulting agency in Kansas City worth awarding this high-dollar, posh piece of business to??? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that most of that $1,000,000 is going to benefit the economies of Chicago and Philly, not Kansas City. All this comes on the heels of the Mayor’s big push for Amazon to pick Kansas City for the location of one of its corporate HQ’s."

And so, as the vote approaches in November . . . This town already confronts a great many broken promises and deception from supporters of project that could change the course of Kansas City, mostly for the benefit of corporate interlopers.

You decide . . .

The whole thing is a scam.

This is just one part of it. Labor isn't even excited about this thing any longer. Most are just waiting for Burns & McDonnell to sue.

Somebody offered James and Justice more money than any of the Locals did, big deal!
Next bribe that tops theirs will swing the City Whores the other direction.

Why isn't money going to Baltimore for Cordish along with $15,000,000. annual taxpayer Power and Light subsidy.

I saw the TV ad and S'liers comment that "The new KCI will take us into the next century". REALLY? The current KCI is only 44 years old and the new one will take us into 2100's?
I seriously doubt that.
I do think KCI needs to be replaced but stupidly worded ads are not necessary.
Just say that if the Black community would support this 100% then Black Lives would actually matter in the Black community. (another lie).
