Whatever happened to free enterprise? This may turn me against Roasterie coffee.

  2. "Senate votes to kill rule that made it easier to sue banks"

Our legislators playing CYA for their contributors. Wells Fargo must be celebrating.

  3. The rule was never anything more than a Democratic Party gift to their principal donors, the trial lawyers. It far exceeded the agency's authority. Good work by the Senate...finally.

  4. Really? You are so fucking stupid. It has nothing to do with democrats, it's not a partisan issue you talking chimp. You are unfit to comment here, because YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! You are part of the dumbing down of this country. You are desperately trying to make it partisan when the Senate just fucked you in the ass! Good luch when Banks like Wells Fargo use your information without your consent to open multiple accounts in your name and issue credit cards you never requested. They wouldn't do that...would they? They already did!! and now because of this action moron, YOU HAVE NO LEGAL RECOURSE!!!! How do you make it through the day being so fucking stupid????

  5. @8:16-Wow. You really are stupid. The Senate just voted to restrict your legal right to sue banks that defraud you, and you think it was a good move? Wow. Wow. Since you don't care about your rights, how about you move to North Korea?

  6. 8:44 - I see where you're coming from on this issue but at the end of the day, consumers get pennies on the dollar from the class action lawsuits because the bulk of the money goes to lawyers and the rest is spread across thousands of individuals in the class action. My biggest beef with the repeal of this is that it removes a deterrent for the banks.

  8. 8:52: Good point, but in mediation consumers get... nothing.

At least the possibility of legal action would have deterred Wells Fargo-type fraud. Now there's no incentive for good behavior. The worst that can happen is bad publicity and an executive or two gets fired with golden parachutes.

  10. The new court would have been better if it read "BLACK LIVES MATTER" or "REMEMBER FERGUSON".
