On the bright side, this bold ask guarantees that none of them will be "taking a knee" during the anthem anytime soon.
Are Royals headed to downtown KC? City starts talks, studies four sites
The city of Kansas City is funding a study of at least four potential sites for a downtown baseball stadium for the Kansas City Royals, according to documents obtained by The Star. A series of emails shows that Kansas City Manager Troy Schulte was involved in funding studies of four sites within the downtown loop that might be suitable for a baseball stadium.
Oh hell no!
ReplyDeleteThere's not much parking now .and Johnson County Ks Residence would prefer KAUFMAN. AS WELL AS EASTERN JACKSON COUNTY RESIDENTS. AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI.
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ your a fucking moron.
DeleteThe Downtown Businesses are behind this They want all the Money
ReplyDeleteDumbest thing I heard all day
ReplyDeleteIf it ain't broke...
ReplyDeleteDumb idea. This is fantasy-streetcar-land talk.
What about in Overland Park?
ReplyDeleteSly Man is off on another fantasy. The losers paid to upgrade the existing field a few years ago. Forget it they are not worth talking about.
ReplyDeleteIs sLIE that lazy that he can’t leave downtown or it’s too far for him? Or is it that he’s too scared to leave downtown? It’s ridiculous to cram everything in one small place like downtown. It was moved out of downtown because there was not enough room to begin with and why do we need to waste more taxpayer dollars on bad ideas
ReplyDeleteStart by demolishing KCStar building and go from there.
ReplyDelete^^^^^ +1
DeleteSo folks how much is this fantasy study going to cost the taxpayers? Who at city hall is getting some friends an easy high paying gig?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile the city is falling apart and the Mayors office is worried about getting a losing ball team a new place to play?
What about all the money that has been sunk into Kauffman Stadium? Surly James isn't looking for a chance to remove the Kaufman name permanently from Kansas City baseball for say Cleaver or James himself or Buck O'Neil Ballpark. Oh I know what they are up to, they want it by the 18th and Vine area thinking that will be how to get out of that money pit. Sure, that's the ticket a new ball park in the 18th and Vine area will bring it lots of money.
You voters better get smart over there and get rid of this mentality at city hall.
not to mention the team has a lease in Independence until 2030
DeleteHerp derp.. duh.. you fucking dummy, the Royals mentioned that in the fucking article! Seriously dude, are you fucking retarded or illiterate????
DeleteStupid Dave... honestly...you didn't read the article did you? We can tell because your comments have nothing to do with the article whatsoever. So are you lazy or just illiterate?
DeleteFuck no. Absolutely not. They can move on to another City as far as I’m concerned. Be the Royal Unicorns somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteBuild the new stadium in Johnson County, please. They are the ones who buy the tickets and crap. Let JoCo pick up the tab.
ReplyDeleteNO to the hellth power!
ReplyDeleteDid any of you shit-eating morons actually bother to read the story? From your asinine comments you did not. The Royals had absolutely nothing to do with this! They said they are content to stay in Kauffman with nail 2030. Any new stadium would not even be considered until after that. Tony trolled the bottom feeders with his head line and you fucking geezers bit. Next time, READ THE FUCKING STORY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI did read the article you morons.
ReplyDeleteAnd it says, "The city of Kansas City is funding a study of at least four potential sites for a downtown baseball stadium for the Kansas City Royals, according to documents obtained by The Star."
From reading all of that I would say that Dave is very correct in his opinion here you stupid fucking morons. Just for the record I agree with what he says.
Why the F*#! Is Troy Schulte spending any money on this?? Better yet, why does Troy Schulte still have a job?????
ReplyDeleteNope. No feckless nu "urbanist",,dreams for bread and circus ball teams, paid for by you, the taxed and overtaxed.
ReplyDeleteIt’s funny to think that parking would be okay downtown. They can’t stop people from breaking in now. 40,000 cars and no great ways to exit like there is now. Stupid. Can’t even get water bills down and still haven’t sold the plaza tennis courts.
ReplyDeleteI would not know anyone that would be happy to risk crime to watch a game downtown.
I talked to former baseball player who said , loosely translated, No.
Even though I don’t think it would be logistically feasible, financially responsible or necessary to have the Royals downtown, I’m supporting the idea just to PISS YOU PEOPLE OFF!!!
ReplyDeleteM-I-Z!!!!!!
@4:42AM who are you fooling? You don't go to games now. You are so out of touch it's not even funny. Did you know they have an arena downtown now? They have concerts there and everything! People go downtown all the time! Newsflash idiot-there is not 40,000 cars at the sports complex! My God you're a moron! I mean be honest, when was the last time you even left the house?? Go away dummy. You are too stupid to post here and that's saying something cause this blog is full of morons like chuck, Stupid Dave, Hogtied Silverback, and Krazy KKKracker.
ReplyDeleteYou'll pay for it and banning taking knees wont even be in the contracts.
ReplyDeleteDa niggas r gonna get rich now
ReplyDeleteA Lot of the above comments are right, though - this has nothing to do with the Royals, it's just the current City Council and Mayor pissing away taxpayer's money!
ReplyDeleteThe Baseball team isn't going to leave he Stadium as long as they're still here, anyway!
Someone at 12th and Oak thought up a way to dump some cash into a Cousin's or Nephew's pocket, that's all!
