Jump Aboard Hyperloop Bandwagon!!!

A cute missive for those who don't understand how media and press releases work. The only thing impressive about this project so far is the vast array of free hype it has garnered. Checkit:

Why a Hyperloop route between St. Louis and Kansas City isn't that far-fetched

I live in the St. Louis area, so I've driven the flat stretch of Interstate 70 between St. Louis and Kansas City on several occasions. Along the way, there is a store called Ozark Land, where you can buy fireworks, ninja stars, retro candy, and a pocket knife with your name carved into it, which means my family and I stop there every time we make the 250-mile trip.

  2. How about a hyperloop to Denver? I would definitely ride that.

  3. Denver would be great, or Kansas city to New Orleans. The link to the French Quarter, and take the red eye back.

  4. Or Des Moines, or Hannibal, or Edina, any of those would beat going to St. Louis.

  5. As soon as there is an accident the cycle of blame, finger pointing and politics will kill the technology.

  6. Can we put in a stop at OzarkLand to make this guy happy?

Seriously, how are they going to get the cars back to St. Louis? Everyone is going to want to get out, but how are we going to force them to go back?

  7. Yes, Denver....St. Louis....hard pass. Gotta think Denver would be a much easier build, there's no trees and it's flat(er) for a majority of the route.
