The building has been abandoned for almost two decades and while there is talk of a new tenant, the blight near the Jazz District @ 18th & Vine offers an important lesson about the ongoing failure of entertainment district subsidy and how it doesn't really go that far . . .

That money is going into paying those folks handsomely, Why would you think it was actually going to help clever and vine?
ReplyDeleteThe City is forgetting promises - no surprise there. KCMO is the bait-and-switch capital of the nation. Swear to God we will spend your money the way you were told we would. Oh, wait a minute....something has come up and we can't do that after all. But, we can do this wonderful project instead. Is everybody happy?
