Tax appeal cuts Plaza tax bill - and revenue for the city, schools, etc. - by millions - Kansas City Business Journal
The Country Club Plaza may have sold for $660 million, but its taxable value is less than a fourth of that total - a disparity that hits local a range of local taxing districts. The problem stems from a pair of questionable assessments by Jackson County, The Kansas City Star reports.

As I said before, taxing property worth $660 million at a value of $145 million sure shows that a:little white envelope" sure as hell landed on the right desk at City Hall, doesn't it?
