  1. Don't tell me, they're starting on her sisters house first. This has family fixer upper written all over it

  2. I went this route in Central Hyde Park, helping my neighbors and giving out freebies and got kicked in the butt for it, instead of a thank you I got a vicious rumor started about what a mean person I was.

    Never again!

  3. Don't worry folks. While you're at the welfare office the government will think of a program to take care of your property that you won't keep up. Anything else you need?

  4. WTF? Where are the grown children of these property owners?

Years ago my family volunteered to paint a house. While we were outside scraping and painting several young adults walked past us on their way inside.
After the 4th resident or family friend skirted the work I put down my brush, gathered my family and left.

  5. What exactly did you think was going to pay for that 800 MILLION dollar bond everyone so readily passed?
a friend of mine picked up a $1200 fine and 100 hours community service at the wayside waifs for not cutting her grass

  6. Isn't this the sow who got her car towed for expired tags? Maybe that will be her next "brainchild" ... Love your neighbor by paying their bills. TNB.

  7. What a lovely idea. And what do we do about the hundreds (maybe thousands) of abandoned homes around the city? They won't go after the owners who most likely don't even live in town. They claim that "due process" must be followed by sending a notice, and then another and another and another. And then they forget about the mess until someone complains. What good does it do to try and keep up one's own property when the vacant houses pull down the whole block.
