TKC MUST READ!!! ACTIVIST CLAY CHASTAIN TARGETS FAKE NEWS AMID KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JAMES RECALL PETITION PUSH!!!

For years local news have begrudgingly reported on transit activist Clay Chastain and his citizen activism. Sometimes they document his voter efforts and most of the time they've offered condescending coverage at best.

However, in a recall effort ALREADY UNDERWAY there's a total news blackout of a CITIZEN INITIATIVE PETITION to oust the Mayor that has already garnered surprising support.

Clay Chastain laments:

"Apparently "Dictator" James not only dictates what ballot language will appear before voters, he also dictates what news about him will appear in Kansas City's Fake News Media led primarily by... the Kansas City Star and including all 4 TV stations, the Pitch, KCUR Public Radio, and KMBZ Radio."

In his latest update, the transit advocate addresses this trend in no uncertain terms. Checkit:

Clay Chastain: KC's "Fake" News Media ignores Recall Petition to protect Sly and his corporate agenda.

When insider dealing Sly James wants media attention for his corporate slam jobs...new elite airport for the elite, new elite convention hotel for the elite, and a transit-challenged downtown streetcar for elite developers...why Kansas City's Fake News Media bounds forth to cover it like people stampeding to the malls on Black Friday. But when everyday citizens submit a Recall Affidavit to the City Clerk to recall Sly James for insider dealing and voter fraud, why the Star does not think that an important issue and ignores it like it doesn't exist.

You can understand too why the Star pushes the above corporate agenda and coddles its prime cheerleader... In the last election, Sly James placed before voters, yet again, fraudulent ballot language (Question #2) that did not comport whatsoever with the meaning and "substance" of that valid petition proposal from the people. However, the Star never pointed out, before the election, that blatant discrepancy to its readers and the community because corporate Kansas City does not want a modern light rail-based transit system for the people. And in 2006, after 75,000 Kansas City voters approved a light rail petition proposal, the Star sat back and did nothing while the know-it-all government (and its corporate puppeteers) repealed that direct mandate from the people by claiming (without offering any proof or expert testimony) the entire petition "unworkable."

In Kansas City, we no longer have a free press to inform the people, rather we have a press free to control the people.

The petition drive to recall Sly James is not only a protest against Kansas City's dictatorial-acting leader, it is also a protest against Kansas City's Mainstream News Media that has violated the public's right to know and this Nation's dearest principle of freedom.

Come to Price Chopper in Brookside to sign the petition (or volunteer to help collect signatures) so "we the people" can rise up as one to overcome this entrenched political machinery that has been dragging down Kansas City, and our Democratic Liberties, for too long.

  1. Give Clay at least this: His petition is filed with the clerk. He's out there getting signatures and there's less support for the mayor now than ever before.

  3. They need to place more petitioning places around the area then Brookside but its a start.

Those liberals are the king of fake news and it is spreading across the country. Just like Kansas city has its fake news sources so does America with cnn, msnbc, nbc, cbs and public broadcast stations to name a few.

  11. The petition process will unsettle the talking heads as the depth of disillusionment of bs artists is expressed from the public. Ruckus will cover in six months but the democratic process will have its day

  17. The ragtag army that voted down the streetcar and forced clarity on the Airport process will now make the City see the fruits of Sly's manipulations. More than a few want to hit the gong. Clay, have petition notices on Twitter and multiple sign up locations. The public is not excited about pork and corruption and insider fixes. Break the bought media embargo by leveraging social media. Sly playing bs games with Clay on the ballot language has consequences.

  21. Sly needs to look for another job. We need to get rid of him. We need to get rid of Jolie Justis and not let the big smiling "Kathy Jolly's" dummy boy in.
