TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY TAX FIGHTERS SUE EVERYBODY TO STOP THE TOY TRAIN STREETCAR EXTENSION!!!
And we start this week with a bang and another court fight amid a tragic Kansas City development legacy.
Checkit:
KANSAS CITY TAX FIGHTERS LAUNCH AN EPIC COURT BATTLE AGAINST THE TOY TRAIN PART DEUX, POLITICOS AND STREETCAR CONSPIRATORS!!!
FIRST and before anybody else, here's the word . . .
KCMO Streetcar opponents sue The State of Missouri, The Secretary of State and all fifty of the Streetcar Petition Sponsors...
This week in Cole County, MO., several KCMO “Voters” sued the State of Missouri, The Secretary of State, and all fifty of the streetcar extension petition sponsors. The suit alleges the TDD voting process "imposes onerous procedural requirements which handicap the exercise of their (Voters) franchise to vote.” The suite is filed in Cole County, MO because that is where the Missouri Attorney General, The Missouri Secretary of State offices are and the action is the State of Missouri whose capital is located and whose principal duties are performed.
The entire filing is attached. The Suit was filed by Sherry DeJanes a Kansas City Attorney, founder of BE SMART KC. Be Smart KC supports Modern, Affordable Regional Transit!
If you or anyone you know lives in the expanded TDD and had a difficult time getting a ballot to vote or did not get to vote, please contact BeSmartKC www.besmartkc.com or CFRG123@gmail.com.

Developing . . .
They won a vote that said the streetcar needed approval from all of KC. And the streetcar people still wanted to go ahead and defy the election.
ReplyDeleteThis needed to happen, glad there was somebody who wasn't afraid to do it.
Look real close at where the lawsuit was filed, this isn't as rigged as Jackson County. The streetcar advocates did it do themselves by trying to get around a real election when they lost in 2014.
DeleteNow we're getting somewhere.
DeleteThis Sly's REAL legacy.
Since he doesn't even seem to care about the murders.
And trolley boy will unleash one of his incoherent, inept, and unhinged ad hominem screeds in three two... .
ReplyDeleteShut it down!
ReplyDeleteRecall Sly James!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Class Action I hope? Where do I sign up? Tired of getting gang banged by Slick James and his progressive looting crew.
ReplyDeleteHas the pride of Coffeyville been advised not to issue herf derfs about pending legislation?
ReplyDeleteEven the State auditor has been revealing how corrupt TDD practices are in this state. With KCMO being very high on the list.
ReplyDeleteBe interesting and entertaining to see the Streetcar Mafias spin and evasion on this one.
The racketeering is over. .
ReplyDeletewhere is the streetcar extension supposed to go? I've tried to follow it, but information seems not readily available, which is not a surprise. I've noticed proposal to extend to berkley riverfront which seems premature at best.
ReplyDeleteThe Council's actions on the Street Car TDD election was an abomination of the elective process. It is amazing that this council continues to pursue this expansion. I am 5 blocks from the proposed Main Street expansion. My taxes would increase by approximately $1,000 per year. There is no way this will in any way increase the value of my property. At the same time I look at the streets, curbs, sidewalks and sewers in my neighborhood which have been totally neglected over the past 25 years.
ReplyDeleteShame on you...
NOTICE :
ReplyDeleteAs well as I am going to be Driving some NAILS into Sly James Agenda (COFFIN) !!!
The plan is already in the works !!!
I'm getting ready to pour GAS on the Fire and Heat things up considerably !!!!
Let the games begin ~ !!!!
Katherine Shields should run to be the next mayor.
ReplyDeleteShe gets it.
i think an expansion to plaza on main street is a good idea, or else it will be a forever stunted. But if it increased my property taxes a $1000/year i'd have a hissy fit too.
ReplyDeleteOperation Waterloo is rolling now.....
ReplyDelete12:58: Are you too good to use the MAX?
ReplyDelete1:09 i do not live convenient to the max or rail. But u do accidentally make the point that the streetcar lacks real-time arrival capabilities which i had bitched about the bus system lacking in 1998. U used to have to go the library to figure out bus schedules.
ReplyDeletehad to go to library to figure out routes & schedules. not convenient for residents or visitors.
ReplyDeletePretty thin soup to base a lawsuit on. "I'm too old to use the Internet."
ReplyDelete1:35: You're obviously using a computer. Have you tried kcata.org? You can discover the best bus routes and as well as departure and arrival times. Alternatively, there are the paper schedules, and I think some libraries still carry them.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, the MAX runs between downtown and the Plaza at least every half hour, so your longest wait would be 30 minutes.
BeSmartKC: "Money given for God's work should not be siphoned off for Civic projects."
ReplyDeleteLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Anyone with a smart phone can easily find your bus route schedules and arrival times at your location. Use the "Transit" app or Google. Simple. No need to have to use a computer, paper maps or go to the library. And the Max runs every 15 minutes during peak times of day.
ReplyDelete2:16 That has zero relevance to what i said. The point of the MAX kiosks was to make it convenient to a user walking down the street to gain immediate knowledge of routes and arrival times without doing everything u say. And ironically everything u say is the meat of the lawsuit to prevent the expansion of rail, they got to go online and do not have a car to get anywhere. joker.
ReplyDeleteI'MA TOO OLD TO USE THE INTERNETS
ReplyDeleteWell get with the program grandma, it's 2017 already, and since the Internet has been established legally as a source of information this lawsuit will get thrown out faster than a Louie Wright libel suit gets settled for undisclosed terms but known to be in excess of $100k damages.
2:23 but not everyone has money for a smart phone and they can't print out the necessary info to register with one even if they did. Again u are telling folks to use methods that are the meat of the objections to the voting process. 97 year old plaintiff surely still has to use a taxi.
ReplyDeleteall u folks giving tips on bus schedules must be too good to use the max bus or you would know you can get that info on their kiosks.
ReplyDeleteThe Max kiosks are nice but they only work downtown and midtown. The Max bus begins at 75th and Wornall and many of the stops in Waldo and Brookside don't have kiosks. So you have to have a general idea of when it might be arriving at your nearest location. I check my transit app from my home and when the Max bus is 10 minutes away, I walk three blocks to my corner and it's at my stop in minutes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if u do not know jack shit about transportation or urban planning and basically know jack shit about current systems, u should stay the fck away from the subject and the voter booth.
ReplyDeleteI think the extension should run right up Sly's fat fucking lard ass.
ReplyDeleteThank you.. finally a good idea and a smart comment..
Delete2:39 what logic are u using? Everything u say the plaintiffs can not do, and is their reason to file the suit.
ReplyDeletePlaintiff Willa Pierce:
ReplyDeletea. Is 94 years old;
b. Has been registered to vote at her present address for the past 29 years;
c. Does not own a car;
d. does not use a computer or own a copier or printer or have access to
one;
e. Has a medical condition that makes it difficult for her to go to unfamiliar
places or be away from home for long periods of time;
f. Is unfamiliar with the Circuit Court;
g. Is unfamiliar with the Kansas City Election Board;
h. found the whole mail-in election process to be too detailed and too
cumbersome and had to have help in understanding what had to be
done in order to be able to vote
Methinks 2:45 doth protest too much.
ReplyDeletePlaintiff Rose Stolte:
ReplyDeletea. Is 87 years old;
b. Has been registered to vote at her present address for the past 16 years;
c. Does not own a car;
d. does not use a computer or own a copier or printer or have access to
one;
e. due to vascular problems, she has health issues that affect her mobility
and she cannot ride public transportation so she has to pay for a taxi or
other mode of private transportation each time she travels somewhere;
f. it would have cost her approximately $40.00 roundtrip to get to and from
the Circuit Court to obtain an application for a ballot;
g. it would have cost her approximately $30 or $35 roundtrip to get to and
from the Kansas City Election Board to get proof that she was registered
to vote;
At last trolley boy issues his first ad hominem as well as ageist herf derf at 2:26!
ReplyDeleteif u think i protest too much, this must be the first article u have ever read in ur life.
ReplyDeleteahahaha, I'M OLD.
ReplyDeleteThat's it? That's their lawsuit?
Tony you should read some of the shit you post sometimes, I mean it rarely makes sense on a good day but this takes it to a whole new level of stupidity.
Plaintiff I.M. Old:
A. Is 836 years old.
B. Cannot breathe without the aid of a mechanical device
C. Pees into bottles
D. Cannot move unaided
E. Is unfamiliar with voting, due process, democracy or indoor plumbing
F. Thinks she lives on the planet Skyron
G. Has never heard of anything
H. Is Chuck Lowe's younger sister
or the first article u ever tried to read.
ReplyDeleteThey should include the biggest complaint about this:
ReplyDeleteThe city held a vote on this and it was overwhelmingly shot down (65-35 right?). Then the city & KCRTA took the data about where this could pass & then created a voting district with that data. Thats the literal definition of voter disenfranchisement and sets an incredible precedent that will almost certainly be used to disenfranchise minorities in the future. This can't be allowed to stand.
The Council has lost all credibility with its voters. I predict the Council gets shut out on the Convention Hotel, The Street car expansion and the Airport.
ReplyDeleteThese folks do not represent the entire City, just their own districts. Place the burden of the Street Car on a very small group of properties including residences which will in no way benefit from the expansion.
Disgraceful...
Thank you Sherry; you are my hero!!!
ReplyDeleteThe election process clearly is voter suppression. The judge that approved it needs to be recalled.
ReplyDeleteMeh, just another lawsuit that will be dismissed.
ReplyDeleteAll the toy train supporters were prepared a year in advance for this. The general public was left in the dark scratching their heads wondering what in the fuck was going on right up until election day.
ReplyDeleteTotally Rigged!
As surely as depositing warm sperm into Leah Francis' amazing vagina is a great idea, the expansion will also happen.

_________
If you shop at Costco or Home Depot in midtown, you will be paying more. The trolley folks will increase sales taxes if you live or shop in the district. This is necessary so they can provide free rides to the tourist.
ReplyDeleteThere have been two fair & open votes on the streetcar and it has lost both times. There have been two rigged elections which the trolley won. To vote in the rigged elections you had to fax a request for a mail-in ballot and then to cast the ballot it had to be notarized. This is clearly voter suppression at its worse!
ReplyDeleteMethinks 3:02 is an idiot and 3:03 is a trolley boy herf derf.
ReplyDeleteI think it's ironic that the TKC "geezer hater" is getting old himself and now might find himself pushed out by better tweeters.
ReplyDeleteGood luck selling that social media skill to any employer but Sly!
Seeing as how I 'support" the Street Car by riding it when I go to downtown KC, I need to be sued too.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when you don't run an integrity process and you deny the public options, deliberation, fairness, and competition. Why didn't they just do the right thing to start with. Because their sponsors pay for the fix and dammit they think that trumps everything. The public hit the gong and will again. No slinking it in under radar Sly.
ReplyDeleteThe era of special interests appears to be coming to a close in Kansas City. The era of special "rights" is also on the fast track to being rescinded. Our nation and our city are going to return to human rights and compassion for those who are not average. If you view yourself as a member of a group with rights get ready for the return to responsibility not "MY RIGHTS".
