The reviews are in and a Kansas City tradition earned a bit of harsh times over the weekend.
A quick word sent our way by AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS:
"Nightmare Plaza Art Fair this year. Waaaaaaaaay fewer artists, a good crowd but horribly organized and lots of vendors frustrated."
Here's a quicker rundown of complaints than posting the e-mails sent our way . . .
- Trash pickup was a BIGGER problem this year. Overflows near food section had many vendors crying foul.
- Parking is becoming a MAJOR concern with FRUSTRATING fender benders leaving patrons soured on the experience.
- Fewer artists and worsening accommodations were part of GROWING COMPLAINTS for those rare people who actually to to the event to see art.
Was there a crowd??? Yes, but the flock of artsy patrons seemed a tad more pissed off this time around.
Developing . . .
Temperamental artists.
ReplyDeleteIt is impossible to please them.
As for the parking, that's a good and bad problem. Maybe a new streetcar would help the situation?
:)
So much rage..people raging. Social media was on fire...NOT!!! No problems.
ReplyDelete^^^ Lives in Virginia. Never been. Doesn't know where the Plaza is located. Sorry troll. Try again. It was a MESS. Literally.
ReplyDeleteIt is not an Art Fair anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt is a carnival-mini circus.
I can't really enjoy it 'til about three overpriced beers in. Then, it's a hipster/poser people watchin'palooza =D
ReplyDelete(Never once have I been inspired enough to actually buy any "art".)
It really isn't an art fair. Most of the art is inferior and overpriced. Most of the patrons are merely there to drink heavily and act as if they are sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteNever bought one piece of art there, but I always manage to pick up some slut and fuck her. Been going almost every year since 1987.
ReplyDelete^^^^Liar
ReplyDelete^^^virgin
ReplyDeleteI hate, art Fair's. There over filled with panzy lib artist's. That think there clever. They shuld get real job's. Like teh rest of us.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it ARTS fair?
ReplyDeleteWhom is this Art were a talkin about?
I was at the art fair and did notice fewer vendors but overall had a good time and felt safe. Could be because almost everyone was the same color.
ReplyDeleteThey had good bands also I can't complain about it.
The temp's were a little warm but there is nothing a person can do about that.
So does this mean these fake ass artists are finding real jobs no that the job numbers are up in America?
ReplyDeleteDon't these people looking at art know that all they need to know to be successful in KC is BBQ, the Chiefs and THE LAKE?
ReplyDeleteAll other interests reek of hipster poseur lameness.
^^^Sounds like hell! A fetid geriatric hell I say!! Pass!
ReplyDelete10:54: What writing skills! Are you a reporter for the Star?
ReplyDeleteBlacks avoid art fairs, too hard to steal stuff.
ReplyDeleteHow ridiculous! We were there on Sunday and there was a large and very diverse group of people there of all races, nationalities, ages and sexes.
DeleteI went to the art fair and we all had a good time. no one buys anything just because of the prices and the food choices were good.
ReplyDeleteGlad the darkies don't go down there though and ruin a good thing that KC has.
SlapHappyRedLeggsgal...Fuck You and FUCK THE NFL
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of car crime. The pickings were easy and bitches actually leave their shopping bags in plain view.
ReplyDeleteFun time. Cleared $850.
Thank you devils.
