SHOW-ME HOLLYWOOD: OSCAR WINNING ACTRESS SALLY FIELD ENDORSES RYAN DILLON FOR MISSOURI STATE SENATE!!!

And yes . . . She likes him, she really likes him . . .

More importantly, the former worker for iconic Congressman Ike Skelton earning Hollywood help reveals that some denizens of the Democratic Party in Missouri are serious about taking back Missouri.

Missouri’s 16th District is HEAVILY Republican and includes several prominent Mid-Missouri towns and areas like Rolla, Camdenton, Waynesville, Salem, St. James, Fort Leonard Wood and the southern half of the Lake of the Ozarks.

Still, the incumbent is termed out and this represents the best opportunity for Missouri's Democratic Party to make progress and emerge from Super-Minority status.

Take a look:

SALLY FIELD ENDORSES RYAN DILLON FOR MISSOURI STATE SENATE

ROLLA, MO - Today, Sally Field endorsed Ryan Dillon's campaign for the Missouri State Senate.

"As an actor, I know how to portray different emotions and I can tell when someone is acting or genuine in their delivery, said Field. "I can assure you, Ryan Dillon is not acting when he speaks of his desire to fully fund public education in order to provide opportunity. He is not acting when he advocates for equal rights for all. He is not acting when he talks about transcending partisanship to fight the heroin/opioid epidemic. He is genuine."

"Ryan Dillon is honest, courageous, dedicated, compassionate, and he is my friend," Field continued. "You see, Ryan believes that tomorrow can be better than today. He understands that the dreams of our future are not limited. We need him, and more like him, now more than ever. There has never been a more important time to get involved, as there is too much at stake."

Field finished by hinting that she would hit the campaign trail with Dillon next year.

"It's both humbling and thrilling to know someone with such high standards in her career and in what she chooses to advocate for is endorsing my campaign for the Missouri State Senate," said Dillon.

"This endorsement echoes my commitment to deliver the very best for the people of this district and for Missouri. I am so grateful for her support and her friendship."

Ryan Dillon grew up working in his family's small business in Rolla, Missouri. He went on to earn a degree from Westminster College, serve in the U.S. State Department, and on the staff of Congressman Ike Skelton and Congressman Russ Carnahan. From these experiences, Ryan has learned firsthand the principles that guide his everyday life: inclusion, respect, fairness, integrity, and responsibility.

Today, Ryan is a member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri, the Missouri State Teachers Association, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society.
