SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT SUPPORTER SEYZ: BLAME OLD SCHOOL MCI DESIGN FOR MISSING DUDE CORPSE ROTTING OVER 8 MONTHS!!!

The story of a man's dead body decomposing over 8-months while his loved ones searched in vain has garnered international attention.

However, our blog community is FIRST to reveal a tragic talking point that will arise in this week's new airport discussions:

SINGLE-TERMINAL SUPPORTERS BLAME THE OLD SCHOOL MCI AIRPORT DESIGN FOR THE TROUBLE IN FINDING THE DECOMPOSED CORPSE!!!

On Thursday, advocates of the new single-terminal prep to sell the benefits of the project and part of that plan includes parking improvements and this callous bit of advocacy . . .

Here's the word:

"Parking and security for the entire proposed complex is going to play a bigger part in the presentation because of this tragedy. Moving forward, this story might have sealed the fate of the old airport and made renovation impossible at least from the Council's perspective. Fact is: The single-terminal is going to be smaller and the scaled down facility will be sold as more efficient, user-friendly and SAFER given that if a dead body can lay around for almost a year in the current configuration -- Than anything can happen to MCI visitors without a rebuild."

At this point the argument is interned mostly for the Council and there's no telling if this kind of rhetoric will hold up in November if the proposal moves forward to a vote.

Developing . . .

  2. Oh my. Mrs SMITH STEPHANIE doesn't know her audience here.

Maybe Ibrahim Musa can pay for the new airport.

  3. There's probably an argument to be made that the existing airport is causing malnutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. I won't be buying that one either.

  4. Not even Mark VanLoh could come up with a BS reason like that.

  6. a police officer friend told me some time back...if you want to "get rid" of a body, as in "really get rid" of a body quickly and cause the most forensic damage to same body, put it in a car/car trunk and park it in the long term parking at KCI; I suppose that would apply to other airports as well although, I'm, not so sure about, say, Tongonoxie...at their airport...Chicago, New York...yes, but not Tonggonoxie....did I spel that correctly, twice...anyway, next time I have to get rid of a corpse, I'm gonna' park the individual at KCI for sure cuz I know I have at least a 8 month head start on the cops and a head start is all I ask for...and a really good attorney later on down the line...and OR for my bail...

  7. Oh, NOW I get it.

IF we had a single terminal, THEN there wouldn't have been a rotting corpse undetected for 8 months!

Yeah. IF we had an actual sensible Mayor, THEN there would be focus on real issues like crime, schools, infrastructure, blight, and real local GUBMINT concerns WAY MORE than RIGGIN' BIDS & ROBBIN' TAXPAYERS FOR CAMPAIGN CASH PAYBACKS AND PALS' HEFTY POCKET LINING!!!

  11. The reason the body wasn't discovered for 8 months was the company hired to check license plates didn't do their job. DID NOT DO THEIR JOB.
