SHOCK!!! COLUMNIST JENEÉ OSTERHELDT THREATENED WITH LYNCHING AND FADING KANSAS CITY STAR OFFERS 89% DISCOUNT AFTER NATIONAL ANTHEM SCREED!!!

The tragic reality is that the Kansas City discourse is becoming more divisive and dangerous as the nation grows increasingly divided under President Trump.

A local tweet example for constant readers from Kansas City Star columnist Jeneé Osterheldt‏ . . .

"For writing about Marcus Peters and the importance of equality and justice, I was told I should be lynched . . ."

Screencap . . .

Like it or not, talk of lynching writers FAILS on a number counts . . . Threatening violence against someone for expressing an idea contradicts First Amendment freedom at the heart of the debate over respect for the national anthem. Talk of lynching in defense of the American flag basically confirms protester arguments of systemic racism under the guise of nationalism. Finally, the threat of violence basically destroys far more legitimate arguments which rightfully contend pro athletes should limit their public protest against a beloved American symbol out of respect for the overwhelming majority of patrons, colleagues and authorities protecting sporting events.

Even more interestingly . . .

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS OFFER EVIDENCE OF THE STAR'S DECLINE AND EXTREMELY DEEP DISCOUNTING DESPITE THE RETURN OF HOOPZ AND MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM OUTRAGE SHE INSPIRED!!!!

Take a look:

AWESOME READER COMMENT: "89% off"? Seriously? Why don't they take the lead of the Streetcar and just give it away."

39 cents might still be too rich for content that insults readers to the point of threatening violence and argues against the National Anthem in the nation's heartland. Nevertheless, this embarrassing discount reveals that Kansas City's largest daily newspaper still struggles to sell their viewpoint to a smaller number of readers every day.

  1. don't blame the blame on her for inciting or "inspiring" violence. The people would threaten a young women for a newspaper column truly are "deplorable" and deserve to face the consequences of their threats.

    2. If you think about her column in terms of engaging readers and causing them to think outside of the box, she didn't do such a bad job. Sadly, the byproduct of getting people outside of their comfort zone is that some folks are so entrenched that they'll kill you for merely suggesting it.

  17. Due to the growing hatred from the left of those who voted republican, I'm sure this threat is a figment of her imagination. The left desperately want to paint all who voted republican as racist, white supremacists, members of the KKK, etc. But, if we give her the benefit of the doubt, most likely the threats are coming from those who are getting pretty fucking tired of leftist bullshit. The Kansas City Star and their columnists are taking a hard left by ignoring the high, disproportional amount of homicides caused mainly by inner city blacks and they even had the gall to say that the Indian Creak Trail Murders were not hate crimes. To all lefties, whatever woes befall the nation are all somehow the faults of conservative, patriotic, white people who want to follow the rule of law as laid out by the constitution.

The majority of people in this city don't care about the protest. They understand that jingoism and forced patriotism is UN-American. It's the simple-minded twerps and low-class dolts like chuck and his ilk who are the loudest and most hateful among us. Whiners my be loud and have the backing of MSM to promote the oligarchs messaging (think Fox/CNN) but they are NOT the majority.

Now if we can just convince Hillary and Clintonism to go away with their rebranded conservatism marketed as "centrist", people will skew away from that, the failings of neoconservatism and "trickle down economics". Both with which only benefited Wall Street and the oligarchs.

Kraske has absolutely no interest in exposing flagrant political corruption right here in Killa City and Missouri.
Once a great paper, the Star will spiral downward to dust.

  25. Jenee set out to incite anger amongst those who read what she said and to now act butt hurt gains no sympathy from me. Any writer who said what she said should know they are going to stir up a hornets nest that will result in stings they won't like.

Free speech is a two way street and while Jenee is free to write about what she wants she should be mature enough to understand she was on shaky ground and free speech in return was going to get the results that it did. I truly doubt anyone wants to say string her up any time soon but seeing her fired or released as a writer with the Star would probably bring tears of joy to many.

But the side that Jenee is wanting to stand on in my opinion has exhibited more violence in the streets than the side who are speaking out harshly against her are.

I look at what is said in here a lot as a "talk is cheap" type stance while stating their dissatisfaction at events going on in today's world using words to shock or just be jerks about it while lacking any desire to carry out such nonsense.

But the lack of disrespect carried on by way too many people is getting old and people are getting tired of it. Sorry but the race showing the greatest disrespect on the streets on a daily bases is of one. Who is killing who at alarming rates? Not the police as some would like you to think so. But mass media will not and does not push for answers on any of the issues happening today. Mass Media is to busy trying to promote their own agenda rather than getting the "REAL" truth put out there for people to see. No writers like Jenee would rather play the race game and back those who take to the streets in masks protesting while pointing out that doing wrong is okay but wanting to see and doing what is right is wrong.

I'm sure Burton Kelso in making that public comment that it was a white man who said it. Does Mr Kelso think that the Indian Creek killer and Brandon B. Howell should be charged with a hate crime? Where was Mr. Kelso calling for Democratic Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal to be charged with a hate crime after her comment about our President. I don't see how this will make her feel more patriotic. She feels what she feels, & telling her she should feel differently is meaningless. Telling her she should keep her feelings to herself is a disregard for her first amendment rights. She is a journalist: They tell us what they think & sometimes how they feel. That's their job.

She is bi-racial, like me, & the white part can't ignore what's happening to blacks in this country, just as the white part of me has strong feelings about what was done to the indigenous peoples of this continent by the European Settlers/Invaders. The American Flag represents this conquest, just as it also represents the history of cruelty to blacks, & the systemic racism that still exists. Talk of lynching was deliberately intended to terrorize by its very historical nature. The person who said this knows how loaded that word is & that is why it was chosen.

Any white person who thinks that we should feel like them is just being willfully ignorant. We are not like them. We have a different perspective.

  40. POINT OF CLARIFICATION

Jenee Osterizer is a sub-par journalistic talent who relies almost entirely upon her self-labelled status as a biracial female victim.

Now, of course, she's not a true victim, anymore than you or I are somehow victims of society's oppression. While you, I, and almost everyone else learned long ago that we are responsible for our own successes and failures in life, Ms. Osterizer is either psychologically blocked in victimhood or she's purposely acting that way in an attempt to manipulate others for personal gain. Either way, she's sick.

Unfortunately, with the Star's new policy of ranking writers based upon the feedback or "buzz" they generate with their articles, you can expect to see all manner of outrageous/inflammatory rhetoric spewed forth by Jenee and the other rejects.

The other day someone happened to recount a conversation they'd had regarding the large self-promotional ad the Star has run several times, whereby some fictional woman from Prairie Village thanks them for reconstituting their editorial board to reflect both political parties. We had a very good laugh over that! They simply got rid of liberals like Shelly, Abouhalkah, and Duiguid, and replaced them with more liberals! Best I can tell, every member of the current editorial board is a liberal.

Back to the Osterizer. Here's all you need to know about every article she pens: E.g.
‘Tar and feather them’: Marcus Peters’ anthem protests bring out the hate — and love
    "then he called me"
    "because I wrote a column"
"an 8-year old boy who is biracial like me"
    "in response to my column"
"I was called a baboon, a knuckle-dragger and all manner of slurs."

If you were under the mistaken belief that this article was about Marcus Peters, let me set the record straight for you. Jenee Osterizer was writing about Jenee Osterizer, THE VICTIM!

Do Caucasian writers manage to mention their race in every article? What about Latinos, Asians, and other Blacks? America is not obsessed with race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other labels, Jenee Osterizer is the one self-obsessed.

And if she really did get those threats she would have reported them to the police and show proof by posting the actual emails/messages that allegedly say so. Isn't that the journalistic thing to do?

Oh, that's right, I'm talking common sense. What the fuck am I thinking?
