Protesters Rage Against 'Kettling' In STL

More controversy in the aftermath of tough police tactics and mass arrests in the midst of violent protest. Take a look:

St. Louis police accused of 'kettling' protesters

Some of the protesters contend that police have used excessive force and a tactic known as "kettling" when making mass arrests. So what does kettling mean? What is kettling? Kettling is a term used to describe a crowd control technique where police or security forces surround a group with a cordon of officers -- sometimes in riot gear -- and physically restrict it to a specific area.

  12. The police had clubs but didn’t use them for intended purpose, just made noise banging them on the ground. The clueless Lib mayor was disappointed that the Police Chief praised his officers for ”owning the night.”
