Follow-up on local tragedy and the exceptionally lonely demise of one local dude. Take a look:
Heartbroken family in disbelief that it took eight months to find missing Lenexa man at KCI parking lot
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A family is in pain and new details were revealed about the mysterious death of Randy Potter on Friday. Kansas City police say Potter's decomposed body was found in his vehicle at a KCI parking lot eight months after the Lenexa dad disappeared.
I hope the airport doesn't charge the estate for eight months of parking.
ReplyDeleteGotta side with the family on this one; it seems like a full sweep of the airport parking lot would be a given early on in a missing person's case.
ReplyDeleteOnly if they had info he was there. If he was missing from Lenexa and didn't have a cell phone with him there would be nothing indicating he was there. This incident aside, airport police should check cars on lot checks daily for several reasons. Citizens parking next to his vehicle are just as responsible for not reporting it or the smell
DeleteIf we had a single terminal airport this wouldn't have happened
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lot of city employees that don't give a fuck. Nobody notices a car that hasn't moved for 8 months? That is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteKCPD cant find it ass let alone a dead body.
ReplyDeleteIt's not KCPD.
DeleteAirport police is separate and includes security there
Deleteif the man and family were black we would of already seen a lawsuit coming for a quick money grab.
ReplyDeleteKCPD prowls the streets with their cars that check license plates. Maybe a weekly run at the airport could be arranged. Of course, the is little opportunity for civil asset forfeiture or collecting on past due tickets do there is probably little incentive to do this.
ReplyDeleteWhat was his name again ?
ReplyDeleteBernie ?
Yeah one would think that one would notice a man sitting in his car all summer long with a hole in his head and his face and melting into his seats?
ReplyDelete^^^^+1, i for the life of me cant figure out how so many people parking next to this car didn't notice
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't add up.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete7:35 KCPD doesn't patrol KCI you idiot.
We're pert sure that point is been made, Grand dad. Don't get so gall Dern frazzled about things old-timer. You'll have your time to talk, now. Just have a point next time
DeleteRandy Potter goes and kills himself in a parking lot at KCI and nobody for eight months sees a thing. Bullshit, many people saw it and looked the other way. Oh look, dead man, but can' get involved in this don't have time for no reports or shit like that got a plane to catch or need to hurry home.
ReplyDeleteYes the Potters are going to sue why else would you have your attorney at your side as your lass out at people. Ole Randy didn't give a damn if you felt any pain when he went and shot himself. In a chicken shit way Randy said fuck you all kiss my ass I'm out of here because I don't give a fuck how you feel.
Lesson: leave a suicide note telling your family where your corpse will be.
ReplyDeleteHey "TRUTH OF THE MATTER" , don't worry you're fucking not head a bit about it okay it ain't up for you to decide shit and as usual don't think we don't know who you are. Why, you're stupid Dave and when you don't want no blowback coming back on stupid Dave Larson you're the truth of the matter. You are a crass, piece of shit, shitbird of a man oh and not to mention yous a pussy too. So don't worry about it Randy Potter or Randy Potter's family just make sure then towels are nice and hot and quit staring at cock and maybe you'll hang on to this here job.
ReplyDeleteWhat in the world? Try English sometime. Um, if you can.
DeleteYou need to draw a map before KCPD could solve a crime.
ReplyDeleteHere's a thought. Have KCPD run thru the lots with their license plate reader and any vehicle with unpaid tickets gets the boot. Monetize and the police will come!
ReplyDeleteSure let's waste time pulling officers from the high crime areas to check airport lots and long term parking for violators. This is airport police property too, they are entirely separate from kcpd
Delete8:47 Amazing detective work there, maybe KCPD will hire you. I doubt it, you can't even talk/write correctly let alone figure anything out. I am me and you're dead wrong.
ReplyDeleteIf he went missing from Lenexa, Lenexa PD would be the investigating agency, not kc
ReplyDeleteDid the guy always have a gun on him at all times?
ReplyDeleteOr did the family not notice that was also missing along with him?
Yes Lenexa is the lead investigating agency it was not KCPD's case at all. Seldom does another law enforcement agency get involved with a missing person case unless requested to do so and then that's due to either some evidence or statements made that leads the investigation into another agency's area.
ReplyDelete8:47, how can you call someone stupid after writing that which you posted in here. It's very clear who is the stupid one here and it's only you and you seem to make a lot of posts here at TKC using the same stupid verbiage as we see here today.
KCPD are a bunch of losers.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think KC is so dangerous.
Not even the plaza is safe.
ReplyDeleteWho cares if the "Airport Police" are part of KCPD or not? They draw paychecks from Kansas City, and this proves that they're totally incompetent! Fire the whole damn bunch of them and have KCPD cover the Airport until a competent staff can be hired and trained!
While you're at it, fire about the top three layers of Airport Management too! That way we can be sure that those responsible for oversight of these "Clown Cops" is gone as well!
Everyone in KC is aware that it has been the unspoken policy of the Airport Management Team to delay maintenance in order to let KCI deteriorate to strengthen the arguments for a "New Airport" Boondoggle, but this is inexcusable!
I grew up in a small town and my family owned the funeral home and ambulance service. Saw my first embalming when i was 7, first autopsy at 10. My uncle was deputy coroner. I started going on death calls and ambulance calls at 13. Had a guy, a lifelong bachelor with no family that lived like a hermit on a small property outside town. When he was found he had hung himself probably in March and wasn't discovered until August. believe me, there is no smell on this planet like a rotting corpse or burning flesh. Once you smell it it never leaves your memory bank. This is a fuck up on a lot of levels and i really feel for the family. Just tragic for them. I pray his soul finds peace and peace and comfort for the family.
ReplyDeleteKCPD cant fight crime as it is.
ReplyDeleteGiving them the airport would just compound the problem.
The only thing kcpd cops can find is the refrigerator.
ReplyDeleteI guess the rioting in St Louis (3 hours east) resulting in nine injured police officers and an attack on the Mayor's home.......isn't news.
ReplyDeleteA mother and a daughter are rightfully mad but are being mad at the wrong people and for the wrong reasons.
ReplyDeleteIt's not against the law to disappear if you so desire long as you commit no crimes in doing so. Police departments everywhere don't have the manpower to handle every missing person case as an priority case. I knew a man we called Dusty who just up and decided one day to leave his family, home, job and church. He disappeared in 1992 and wasn't found till May of 2015. Many rumors were abound as to what happened to Dusty, many of us were interviewed by the police. In the end Dusty drove off one day and ended it all telling no one. He was found with in a couple miles of where he lived in an area search more than once. It wasn't the fault of any police agency he wasn't found. They as Lenexa PD in the case of Mr. Potter had no idea where to really search and no clues to lead them there.
Almost 1 million people go missing every year. Of that 1 million reported cases 15% are classified as endangered or involuntary with most of those being children.
It's sad to admit, but the cops in this town really are a bunch of losers.
ReplyDeleteParking Lot Manager: "Okay guys, we have another missing person. Lets start at the beginning and check every car in the lot just in case he is here. After all, we do 'MANAGE' the lot, and we do 'CHARGE' for people to use it. Oh, never mind. We will do it next month."
ReplyDelete'We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
"We will do it next month."
Makes me wonder what else or who else is sitting in those lots. What a bunch of incompetent lot attendants. I don't see it as the cops fault, yet I already know people will blame them first especially the blacks.
ReplyDeleteEven if they didn't check each vehicle surely they have a roster with vehicle license plates. It would take...hmm...maybe 5 minutes to check if his truck was in their lot. I would be firing someone.
ReplyDeleteit is truly strange that no security people or attendants noticed.
ReplyDeleteHey Betty, you SMELL Something foul ??????
ReplyDeleteWhy yes I do says Betty, wonder if its coming from that vehicle that's been parked there for like 8 months,,,,
Naw', couldn't be , why the Airport Security would of noticed it and done something before now.
I Dunno', it sure stinks the closer ya get to the vehicle, why, it smells like a MORGUE ,,, Dear,,,,,
Ahhh, its probably just the tires stinking from sitting on the asphalt for so long,,,,
Maybe we should tell that TSA officer or a Airport Security about it huh ????
Ya OK,,
Hey MISTER theres a car over there that stinks really badd !!!!
Ya, OK,,,, so what,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
My ex used to sit on her dead ass in front of the TV for months at a time. This is no big deal. I bet this guy is form Johnson County too.
ReplyDeleteYou people are idiots. You can't blame the KCPD for this. You can, however, blame City Hall. This is a town that has been run by corrupt and incompetent people since at least the Prohibition era. Grifters and grafters, the whole damn lot.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletethat's some serious "long term parking"...further, these are the same people charged with the responsibility for overall protection of our lives and property...asleep at the wheel...
