Kansas City Urban Core Victorian Redux

An inspiring glimpse into grassroots creativity: Victorian Resurrection

Cool house, would never guess from the exterior it looks that way inside. Of course having an address of Benton Blvd knocks about 50% of the value off.

Yep, you better be able to speak Spanish if you ever dare to set foot outside this place. And don't ever venture two blocks North!

I love to see these old houses renovated, the only problem is some of the (outsiders) in the neighborhood don't appreciate people who do this, especially Hyde Park.

I fail to see how that is a Victorian house in any way. It is a bungalow/shirtwaist.

It's probably worth 120k, for once they don't have these restomods horribly overpriced. You can tell they just used standard Home Depot quality fixtures and whatnot. That chandelier is home depot as is the pedestal sink.

My concern with buying a cute little house like this in the ghetto isn't crime per se it is whether they shored up the foundation and cleaned up the frequent environmental contamination in the soil.

Also a house without a garage on Benton is just asking for auto theft.
