KANSAS CITY ANTI-CLIMAX: BUSTED NEW AIRPORT BIDDING CIRCUS ALMOST COMPLETE!!! BURNS & MAC POLITICAL THUGGERY STILL THREATENS VOTERS!!!

UPDATE: COUNCIL APPROVED EDGEMOOR 10-2!!!

In a few minutes we're coming toward the end of the beginning of a new airport debacle.

City Hall machinations . . .

KC Biz Journal: Committee sticks with KCI recommendation; next up: full city council

Just a few things to remember . . .

- Burns & Mac isn't giving up. They have lawsuits ready and they're prepared to fight for ONE BILLION DOLLARS and the opportunity to steal local revenue.

- Voters have a chance to PUSH BACK in NOVEMBER as a public vote is still on the agenda.

- Sadly, there's a plan to take this one out of the realm of Democratic control and continue "private" building of a public resource . . . Mayor Sly was shamed amid his AIRPORT FAIL this time around but still must put in work for his corporate bosses.

Still, don't expect a lot of surprises or anything but disappointment in Kansas City's civic and political leaders.

Developing . . .

  1. look, they have to play the hand out now. if the council reverses course somehow, it would further doom the november vote.

  2. As though it isn't enough to show everyone how little integrity Burns and Mac has, and how inept they are at putting together a strategy and implementing it to win a contract, they've spent many hundreds of thousands or more and end up outside the tent.
All that money on Sly and the gang's campaigns, the proposal itself, and now probably millions on lawyers before their flailing is over.
The "home town team" has made a fool of itself.

  3. This reminds me of a bunch of school yard dogs fitting over a dropped Twinkie.

  4. this is a real question: is there any possibility sly is clever enough to have used BM as a stalking horse?

  5. It's only a matter of time before we see ads with George Brett saying that he's changed his mind and now likes KCI the way it is.

  7. They keep referring to this being a "done deal" with no input from voters. I know the fix is in at City Hall, but I am surprised that they didn't stay bought by B&M. Voters, remember YOU hold the power to shut this thing down on November 7 by voting NO in November. I do realize that the City will then start a campaign to destroy the current airport through neglect. But I'm not going to be railroaded. Vote NO.
