This evening Kansas City doggie lovers were out in full force to protect the Kansas City Chiefs hiring a convicted dog fighter.
While some have argued loud and clear that Michael Vick has served his time and deserves a second chance. This evening locals standing against animal cruelty ruled the discourse . . . Follow-up on a story our blog community touted FIRST:

"I feel privileged to have been there and participate. We made our voices heard. It's all about the ones who have no voice...."
Here is their statement:
I just wanted to thank everyone who came out and helped to support us tonight. The signs were all amazing and we were all unified for one cause . . . I also wanted to thank the people who continued the protest to the George Brett bridge. That was amazing for you to do that. We also need to thank the police who helped protect you while you were protesting along the bridge.
"I have been asked about another protest. There is a walk being planned for this Friday at the P&L district. Please see the KC Animal Lovers Against Michael Vick page for details
"We can plan another peaceful protest along the bridge if people want to. But I think we should wait to plan one since it is so close to time for his 3 weeks to be up. If he does stay then we can plan accordingly."

ReplyDeleteMike Vick was a below average NFL quarterback. Watch/listen to an interview with him, and you'll realize he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. The Chiefs should have never brought in this charity case, as he won't help them win, and he brings a whole busload full of baggage wherever he goes. Reid's judgment sucks.
