TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY $15 MINIMUM WAGE HIKE STAYS WINNING WITH LIKELY VOTERS DESPITE MISSOURI CRACKDOWN!!!
Kansas City voters don't seem concerned about Missouri state law which forbids municipalities from raising their own wages as supporters of Question #3 tout polling success before the upcoming election.
Here's the word . . .
TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDER POLLING DATA REVEALS QUESTION #3 LEADING THE BALLOT BY +7 POINTS!!!
Like it or not . . .
LIKELY KANSAS CITY VOTERS OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORT THE CONTROVERSIAL EFFORT!!!
Again, these numbers were taken from the latest sample of more than 500 voters who were advised that STL had their wage increase vote pushed back by Jeff City politicos.
A closer look at the effort . . .
Insider polling seyz:
- Question #3 leads all other ballot measures in the upcoming election by +7 points among likely voters.
- 60% of all supporters of streetcar Question #2 also support Question #3.
- Question #3 enjoyed its strongest support from voters under 40-years-old, white females and likely voters from the 3rd, 4th and 5th District.
It's not all good news: Support from the Northland is too close to call: Slightly more than 50% of voters across the bridge said they would vote NO against the minimum wage increase with a 3% margin of error.
Nevertheless, advocates across KCMO will kick their campaigns into overdrive amid the upcoming GOTV weekend no matter the polling data the our TKC blog community put on blast FIRST.
You decide . . .
Be fair TKC.
ReplyDeleteOn the other side of the coin there is also a big move to vote NO across the board on August 8th.
They don't have phone banking efforts but they have common sense on their side.
I think you wrote it earlier: everybody wants their cut.
DeleteKansas City travel advisory?
DeleteIf you park it here, you will likely get robbed.
Got an even better tip for you first TK, ask around and the state secretary might not even certify the election if here is a measure that already contradicts state law.
ReplyDeleteMissouri says NO and KC is still in Missouri the last time I checked.
Yes citizens of Kansas City could vote for a federal tax cut, but in the end it will mean nothing.
ReplyDeleteI hope it passes, that means more jobs leaving kc and moving to where i live.
ReplyDelete^^^ +1
ReplyDeleteThis will just give more industry to Johnson County. A quick hop across the state line.
Establishing minimum wage requirements kills jobs.
ReplyDeleteWhat really kills jobs for Americans already here, is no skill unfettered, illegal immigrants who keep wages artificially low. Wages would go up, if the demand for labor went up. The demand for labor (There are exceptions - Texas) is low in KC for low skill jobs. So, wages are low and 15.00 an hour will only drive the already in place push for more automation.
Where I work and it's a good job with good benefits, it's 85% black. There's talk lately about the black community is going to start a race war if they don't get their way. We are making on average $22.50 an hour. I'm confused by their logic?
ReplyDeleteTeen agers were the working poor in the 50s through the 80s. Living at home making pocket money. Now adults have taken these jobs and expect to be paid career wages. What does a kid do for money these days?
ReplyDeleteI say give em $15 hr, make them work 40 hrs week, get them off of public assistance. save more millions in public spending. Just look what happened in Seattle. all those who got raise then demanded less hours so they would not lose public assistance.
ReplyDeleteSo no one has issue with local libtard politicians burning thousands and thousands in taxpayer cash to throw a local yokel vote on an issue that will never happen even if it passes? Even if it were to be implemented the only credible study on these $15.00 per hour (party spin) initiatives clearly shows the move actually ends up hurting workers, reducing income, reducing hours worked, reducing jobs. Being a dreamer does not change the facts. It is scientifically proven that the best way to increase your income is to improve your value to employers. If you are to lazy and/or dumb to figure that out then starve. You are wasting good air.
ReplyDeleteNorthlander voting NO across the board.
ReplyDeleteTravel Advisory...Blacks and Bums are likely to threaten you downtown.
ReplyDeleteThe pretense that blacks would actually show up for a 15.00 an hour job and work, rather than sit on their lazy asses and collect money from the gubmint like Byron, is refuted by the existence of Mexicans everywhere, working for less, while, again, lazy blacks sit on their asses sucking the life out of the economy.
ReplyDeleteBlacks are parasites who destroy everything.
Has anyone, ever, EVER, seen a black on a construction project? If you have, it is an exception. The work is hard and you have to show up and perform. They are never going to work.
8:59 Well you are still kissing Tony's ass. You should be a billionaire by now.
ReplyDeleteWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I advertise with KlanMedia myself, you should see my business name on the back of a white sheet! Effective!
ReplyDeleteNext up on KCMO ballots?
ReplyDeleteDemanding that it's always 72 degrees and sunny.
Driving as fast as you want to.
A three-day weekend every week of the year.
Where's Sly?
There're votes to be gotten here!
Grab a bullhorn and run to the front of the mob.
You're their leader!
Goodbye small businesses. It's kind of amazing to see all the new construction projects, small business growth, and economic growth in general happening on the Kansas side, despite what libtards say about the government of Kansas. The liberal shitheads like Sly will never get a clue. As long as they keep pushing their 'progressive' ideology, things will continue to decline in KC, Mo.
ReplyDeleteYep. Seen more big remodels of inner burb JoCo, south JoCo, and some semi rural custom builds keeping friends and family very busy. Fast foods are real crowded at lunch from west Dotte into all points off the Kansas side of 435 loop to State Line. If $15 drives out MO fast foods, those lunch lines in KS get shorter. YeeHaw --- "Show Me" to the "Wheat State" y'all!!!
DeleteWhere are the results of the polling for first two issues of streetcar spending and Clay's transit plan? Slie and polling prevaricators, undoubtedly usual suspects - Roe and Glow, want to hide poll results of support for Clay and spending penalties.
ReplyDeleteVote Yes for one and two and no for three. Let Slie find some other issue to pander into his next political career.
8:20 I do, this is a sLIE miss direction move, they think oh, look at what sLIE is doing for us so, if he gets this passed we will vote yes for anything he wants.
ReplyDeleteYes. People are that stupid
^^ yep I reckon we did the same thing when we built Hoover Dam. By God we had a schedule to keep there was no time for any bullshit
ReplyDeleteSince when do we put surveys on the ballot? That's what 1,2 and 3 really are.
ReplyDeleteThe gal in charge of the wording on #1 admitted on TKC and local news, it's written illegally--you cannot FINE individual city hall employees $1000! So that part would be thrown out. Even tho I agree city wide votes should be mandatory, this is a stupid solution.
#2? Clay. Say no more. If Clay wants to make a difference, stop putting every initiative in YOUR name. You're poison. And again, it's a survey, because the city reworded the language with qualifiers including the preposterous MIGHT go here, MIGHT go there. That is not proper ballot language.
#3. $15 an hour. Already knowingly illegal, as proven in St. Louis. So, this too is just a survey. There is nothing to prohibit any business from establishing a starting salary of $15 an hour. But they don't, because newbies aren't producing enuf value to warrant this. It's too high, then there's nowhere to go. Welcome the robots. And welcome to Kansas, you fools who vote on this.
KCMO being "measurably economically or societally better" if any of these passes? Survey says: No.
^^^^^
ReplyDeleteGood point or points!
$15 an hour CAN NOT be implemented in the state of Missouri!
If you vote yes on $15 an hour it is against state law!
welcome to kansas, home of less expensive fast and restaurant food, cheaper car washes, retail stores that recently closed in kcmo, and more.
ReplyDeletewill plaza retail survive? answer: nfw.
ReplyDelete3:40, gosh don't you think all of those hoodlums riding the free trolley to the plaza would love to work for $15 an hour
ReplyDeleteTracy is an old racist woman. That's sad.
ReplyDeleteThese idiots demanding $15 per hour are the most stupid people on the face of the earth. Go ahead and pay them their money. Then every restaurant and fast food joint will leave Kansas City Missouri for the pay friendly JOCO, the Northland, Raytown, Independence, Belton and Lee's Summit. They will build their buildings on these cities side of the dividing line. And just like the idiots that got their raises people will travel to get their Big Mac's.
ReplyDeleteI'm LMAO.
The hoodlums wont work for $15.00 when they can make $150k a year peddling rock.
ReplyDeletelot of hate. Why not pay people who WANT to work.
ReplyDelete^^^ In the long run it will eliminate more jobs. The opposite of real growth.
